I think LPGA is going to lose this battle with acceptable golf attire on tour. Do they really think the ladies are the only ones watch the LPGA? There is more males viewer just like in pro volleyball. Men want to see female athletes in small outfits for viewership and ratings. Yes all men are shallow and if you say otherwise you are kidding yourselves.

I disagree that what the ladies wear has anything to do at all with viewership and ratings.

I can assure you it is not just the LPGA. My club's female champion is a 1hcp player. Beautiful. College educated. Superb competitor for our club and county....and the old ladies still complain about how she dresses. She has a great figure, is confident and only 24. And they wonder why our club struggles to attract women of under working age (our average lady member is retired). This year's captain is a young looking 56 year old and dresses smartly. The previous two were "old school" and have sweaters from the 1980s and talk about the good old (strict dress code, separate male and female bars and lots of vases of flowers) days. And now over to Little Choggington for Bridge and Pink Gins.....

I'm newer to the golf scene but I totally see this! There are a lot of folks hanging on to the old way of doing things. I think it will better serve golf to embrace change that is happening.
