'Gotta be impressed whenever Mo is near the top of the leaderboard. 149th ranking in driver distance, and yet 57th in ballstriking. It reminds me of something Judy said during the 2012 U.S. Women's Open, "You know, short and straight is highly underrated".

I like the way she plays. Can't overpower anything and doesn't even try. She does what she can do and nothing more.

Mo is actually ranked higher (57) in total ballstriking than Lydia, Cristie, Brittany Lincicome, Brittany Lang, and Jenny Shin. Her putting is more of a liability than her length off the tee.

Solid start for In Gee. It will be interesting to see if she can hold on for her first win of the season. A few top players on her heels.

Should be an interesting finish. With scores in the low 60's possible, it's still anybody's tournament. I was a bit surprised by the back to back bogies by So Yeon. In Gee had a luke warm putter. Mo was impressive today. What a storybook ending it would be if Brooke grabbed the win with excellent play on the weekend, similar to Mi Hyang in Scotland.

Sung Hyooooooon! Man I was so torn between the one they call Namdalla and In Gee. My two favorite players in the world. Even in bitter defeat, In Gee is so beautiful and gracious. Golf is so lucky to have her.

Great charge by Sung Hyun. I had a hunch someone would go low to grab the trophy, and I'm not surprised that it was her. Tough finish by In Gee, who wound up T3. The Golf Channel cut away after she failed to hole out for eagle, but I assume she three putted for bogie after that. She really had no choice but to go for the eagle to tie, and sometimes it end poorly.

Still, at least she didn't get another 2nd place! It was interesting to watch In Gee. Despite the situation she absolutely maintains tempo in everything she does - but she couldn't get anything to happen. I think a missed 15-footer for birdie on about the 13-14th cost her. That was her one poor putt, but it was such an opportunity to exert pressure.

The bogie on 12 after hooking/pulling her drive into the trees didn't help. In Gee can be a bit streaky with her putter. They weren't falling for her yesterday, well, at least down the home stretch.

That is a cool swing to watch, from my bias POV it's a shame Brooke came undone yesterday. That was an awesome turnout by the folks around Ottawa though. Largely - she drove the ball so well too, she'd have been great in a scramble yesterday, but unfortunately the rest of her game was a bit shakey.

It looks like In Gee swapped her driver and woods for the new G400. She picked up an average of 3 yards this week (measured on 2 holes), but overall it seemed that she was hitting it much further. She averaged 264 yards on Friday.

A late shout out to Brooke. Does this kid has some grit or what.

 

With half of Ontario in her gallery, she fought back to make the cut on the number. Then shot course record in third round to propel herself into contention. Eventually she ran out of gas but already had done her country proud.

 

I can't imagine the pressure she was under. No wonder even the old Crusty Kerr had to give her the props, It has to be ranked up there with Anna Norquist's at the Solheim as the grittiest performance of the season so far.
