Lydia has won this 3 of the past 5 years. Ariya is the reigning champion, and So Yeon won it in 2014. I'm going to go with So Yeon, as she's been playing some great golf lately. Well, at least on the Parkland courses.

That aside, like Rory at the Irish Open, the obligations on Brooke this week will make it tough for her.

I like her chances much better in the PNW, than Ontario as well. But hopefully she can contend anyways! :)

He plays a thief recently released from prison who is hired to steal a precious diamond from a museum. The caper involves a series of screw-ups that requires additional funding from his employer. One of my favorite lines from the movie that I use quite frequently is, "I'm telling Mom on you, Daaaaad!".

Got around to the DVR last night and the course looks great. Well great except for seemingly whatever line Kerr was putting on when she missed... those had marks ;)

Given that twice in the past 3 years the winner has had a score of -23, I shouldn't be surprised by the low scores. However, what happened to setting up a course tough for a national championship?

Agreed. And it's all right there in front of them to do so. Really they just needed to narrow the fairways some and move some tee boxes back.

The routing, speed of the greens, and rough are already set up for it to be a challenge.

 

Until the Dunhill Links, my men's golf viewing season is over, so it'd be nice for the ladies to have a bit more bite in their tournies. No Shinnecock'esque blood bath, but not resort course rounds either.

On the flipside, the projected cut is +1, so it's not like it's a total birdie fest out there. Good play appears to be rewarded, and errant shots take their toll.

 

Ariya is +3 for the round through 6 holes, and +8 for the tournament. She's really been struggling.

'Gotta be impressed whenever Mo is near the top of the leaderboard. 149th ranking in driver distance, and yet 57th in ballstriking. It reminds me of something Judy said during the 2012 U.S. Women's Open, "You know, short and straight is highly underrated".
