Bring on the Tour Premieres!

Saw these in person with the Nike rep. Same sole as the TW17/71 and a cool lacing system. Were originally intended as the TW18 but Nike decided to rebrand them in case he didn't return. The pair I saw was the TW18 and had more red as you could expect. The retail version is more neutral. Snug fit. I'll have them in all 3 colors. White, black and white/black. Originally they had a navy pair but they scrapped them.

 

how is the width on them?

Same upper materials like the Lunar Control Vapor 2? I want to get to the white tour premiere only if they are easily cleanable like the 2’s.

Same material as the TW17 - high quality feeling to them. Definitely Nike’s most well-made shoe in the golf lineup for sure.

Thanks for the info on them. I def wanna try them in all white, the only other all white shoes I have are the TW 71’s.

 

They indeed drop on the 14th, Nike Golf posted on their Instagram page that it’ll drop that day.

They come in 11.5 though. That’s what I ordered from the Nike rep.

They fit amazing. More comfortable than the lunar controls I have. I have only hit balls on the range have not played in them. The soles are the tw 71s and the lacing system is awesome no foot movement. Much better than the boa system on the tongue that I always hated. Not the best pics .

Is there decent room in the toe box? At least it does not look to narrow to a point like the LCV's

Oh wow, you have them already. When you pull up to tighten, does that top strap stay loose with slack, or is it elastic? In your pics, are they tight already?

I dont have wide feet at all they fit great, I really like them.

Oh wow, you have them already. When you pull up to tighten, does that top strap stay loose with slack, or is it elastic? In your pics, are they tight already?

They are already tight. the strap is an elastic and it returns into the shoe, no slack. they are a lot like the zoom 90 as they don't have a tongue, but they feel much more structured than the zooms.

I'll be interested to hear some reviews on the FlyKnit Racers. I really like the feel of FlyKnit shoes, but I'm just not sure they will have enough support for a round of golf (balance and support during swings). I have been wrong before though.

I can't wait to try on the Premieres. I hope there's a black version with a white or grey mid-sole. The all white looks great but I'd hate looking at them if they were dirty.

I got the reservation as well. I just don’t see myself wearing this type of shoe since I’ve already purchased 4 different LCV2 and have both premieres on order. I need help. Six new pairs of shoes and haven’t even played around of golf this year yet...

The shoe has no support. I feel Nike marketed it as a warm up, range shoe or if you work in a pro shop, a pro shop shoe. Same goes for the course classic. Same type of shoe base. The non-golf version has no support as well and marked as a lifestyle shoe. When it first came out it was marked as a running shoe for some reason.

 

They have Jason Day teeing off with it but that’s about it, the rest of the advertising I’ve seen about it the shoe is some short game stuff. That’s what I use it for. Chipping and putting, etc.

 

Of course people will play in them, like you have. But I wouldn’t play 9 let alone 18 in them. The cushion is fine for me as I just chip and putt.

 

I just picked up a pair of the Roshe G in Thunder Blue. My wife took a look at the box and said "another pair of golf shoes?" disapprovingly. I pointed out that even though the box says Nike Golf on it, they are really a "lifestyle" shoe. She got a good laugh out of that one.

 

They are pretty comfortable and fit me well in my normal size 13.

btw, I'm a big fan of Nike as many of you know and I'm all of innovations and new technology. BUT I wonder how all these new innovations has impacted on "average" consumers?!

Personally it doesn't affect me one bit since I have maybe 60-70 pairs of golf shoes in rotation, I'll never see the day that I have a worn out pair of golf shoes nor I'll wear any pair for more than 3~5 rounds of golf before I have a new pair in rotation again. But for the average consumers that buys a pair of golf shoes and wear it until it falls apart before buying the next pair, most likely they are going after "durability", and I just don't see that the spikes less traction system or the new lacing system using pull straps can attract or satisfy their need.

But Nike warranty will fix the solution if it the pull tabs come off or defective.

I think i'm in the same boat. Pass on the Racer G and grab the white Premiers when they drop...these are so much like my Chukka's that I haven't even worn yet...problems!
