I talked to Brad from Hylands last week at golf galaxy, he wasn’t sure when they would open. But if they are I’m always in for it, or wherever at this point.

HH and I went to top golf yesterday. It uh.... well... it wasn’t pretty. Highlight had to be when he hit the ball through the netting for the floor above us.

I was able to get about 20 percent of shots airborne and not one of them had anything resembling a draw. I’d say pretty much par for the course

Eaton Creek - Fremont

There was a course called rolling hills around Muncie that never really took off. I remembered playing it years ago.

 

Lakeview greens was my home track in high school. It closed last year.

Valley view closed and I think it’s open again, same for Yule.

 

I haven’t thought about Ki-Ann in close to 15 years. I liked that one.

Yep I forgot about the one in Luray..sic..by Muncie...it was rough and never really got a foot hold.. We did play it couple of times. Last time, not long before it closed, it was soo overgrown we didn't know where to go..lol..to get from tee to green on some of the holes.

Yule was open last year.

 

Never got to play Stonehenge, unfortunately.

 

Ki-Ann was my home course for many years but sold for farm ground. Owner was great and very good to my son and I. We still keep in touch. Used to drop my son there in the summer and he'd play all day. Good stuff.

 

By the way, Pleasant Run (Indy) will be open this Friday. Saturday is iffy (rain).

It was announced late last summer that 2019 is the last year. https://www.indystar.com/story/news/2018/09/06/gray-eagle-golf-closing-par-course-sports-popularity-dips/1157810002/.

 

That area is fairly prime real estate, they'll probably try to stick houses on it.

It was great to get out yesterday. The weather was about what you'd expect for the middle of February. Pleasant Run was cold but not overly wet other than some low spots. We may be developing a Chili Dipper tradition of playing Pleasant Run in February. We played at fivesome and moved pretty steady. Everyone played better than expected for not picking up a club in several months.

 

Moving forward the weather looks pretty rough this coming week with Wednesday being the one day to potentially get out. If anyone is interested in playing PM me and I'd be happy to try to work something out.

 

I look forward to this season and meeting more of you guys!

All things considered, we kind of lucked out yesterday with little to no rain and the wind/temps not bad. Like HH said..good to get one under the belt...so to speak...lol.rest of week looks like crap??
