Didn't "run into them" but caddied for, Frank Gifford, Dave Debusschere, Dick Lynch, Frank Chirkanian, Don Wade, and Bill Anderson.

Met Joe Namath, Gordie Howe, Otto Graham, and O. J. Simpson (pre murder) at a charity Pro-Am.

I regularly caddied for Mike Gilmore, the current Head Pro at Winged Foot, when he was a young Assistant at our club

Stacey Scott played for the Bulls in the early 90s. He belonged to the club where I grew up. He would bring his athlete friends to play all the time. I played with Edgar Martinez once, Dale Ellis once, and some guy who was a former LB for the Packers. Funny story about that guy - that guy hit my friend in the balls with a dead pull off the tee box from about 40 yards away. Buddy went to the hospital, was able to keep his ball (the one attached) but was out of commission for a good 2 weeks. One of my favorite golf stories.

Alice Cooper. He came in to town and always plays before his shows. I happened to have a day of during the week, and by chance his agent had called my former club (private) and asked them to accommodate Alice. Great guy and great golfer. He had all Callaway in the bag if I remember correctly. Had a pretty damn good golf game to back it up.

I played with Johnny Unitas once. Poor guy. He told AMAZING stories but he had a special glove made with a really long strap attached to it. Every shot he had to take the strap and wrap it around his hand in a way to close his hand onto the handle of the grip. His arthritis was that bad. Super nice guy though! I've also played with Dan Jansen (Olympic speed skater). He was cool too and freakishly MASSIVE legs.
