i made my maiden voyage to 2nd swing today. i tried to find my putter exactly but they didn't have it. LOTS of scotties. Selection of woods seemed better than irons. Only price i checked was for a SM7 50/08F in essentially brand new condition. 90$. I don't know what they go for on Ebay but that's a good bit lower than i'd have expected to see in golf galaxy's used bin.

 

i purchased a new headcover for my putter. 10$

Very nice. I think DaveChen has done this the past few years. I know you get to walk the fairways with the groups as well. Always a few big names at Woodmont. Would be fun to spend the day walking.

I've gone to Woodmont several times. There used to be a lot of "names" when the Kemper/ATT/Quicken Loans was the week before the qualifier. Its pretty cool to walk next to them and listen to caddies and thought processes

I went to 2nd Swing on Monday. Did a trade in on a lot of clubs I had in the garage. I got $365 IN credit. Purchased M2 3wood and M2 2hyd for $235. Hit every make of 3wood they had and the M2 was the best results with the flight dispersion pattern being very close on both clubs.

What are you doing wrong, or more accurately, what is the major problem/miss? Is it a consistent left/right miss, or just inconsistent in general? Are you laying clubs down or using driveway markers for alignment?

Got in 18 yesterday afternoon in the windstorm

Course was c/p only but still got around in 2 1/2 hrs

Stat line was rather interesting...6/14 Fwy , 5/18 Grn , 26 putts ,1 chip in ,1 double = +3 (73)

I've got to find a way of getting the doubles off the card

Fabb, this is a crisis! Read Dave Chen's post again. He's crying out for help here! He's hitting balls everyday and its not doing any good. He's getting lapped by his kid now. The man is standing on a ledge and I'm trying to talk him off of it. Once he hears my swing theories on pinky finger rotation, dipping the hips about a foot lower, and left elbow pronation, he'll be scoring around 100 in no time!

I played in the wind yesterday and hit 12 fairways and 3 of the par 3's. I shot 80. Back to back doubles. Horrible up and down action. 2 hazards. Blew my match on the final hole with a 1 up lead. all 3 of us drove the ball awesome and we were all like 79/80.

 

3 of us played in Sub 3 and that involved waiting on hole 1 (started on back) for women who came off the OTHER course on a shot gun start outing and drove to the wrong course. (they came off 18H to 1O for those who know).

I kind of feel grindy today. I'm hitting the ball too well lately for the scoring I've been doing. Recent 72 and everything else has been trash.

The up and down action was the only thing saving my round but i noticed that almost off of my misses were in the right spot which makes all the difference in the world

 

I still don't know how to drive the ball when there's a strong left to right wind. Gets in my head every time

A bad look. I'm not going to argue who is at fault here. . .gets into legal stuff I don't know about, substance abuse issues I don't know about.

 

But, he just doesn't know how to surround himself with good people. Or keep them around if he does. Or stay away from situations where bad things happen.
