Currently enjoying the TW 747 455 Driver, very surprised at how this driver works for me.  Very accurate, good distance, great traditional look, great feel and sound.  The shaft must have a lot to do with it.

I took advantage of awesome deal at PGASS for TR20P iron set and got them as late Christmas/New Year gift.  My previous irons were 747V.  So far I gamed TR20P for 3 rounds.  

They definitely feel clicker than 747V but TR20P are amazingly forgiving.  Balls travel well and enough even with mishit.  I think I gained some distance but yet to play more to determine the true distance.  TR20Ps look classier and fatter than 747V but I can care less when they perform well. With NS Modus3 105 on TR20P, balls tend to fly higher noticeably than NS Modus3 120 on 747V.

Looks like they mixed up the iron line, though. Theres no 'v' model but there is a Vx model like the 737. Also no 'X' model, but there is a blade model.

 

The 757P looks very similar open-cavity CB to the TR20P speaking of which - just re-styled.

Gonna bump this again just to say the Honma TR20 series is fantastic.

 

I grabbed a set of the new Mizuno 225 and stared at them side-by-side with my TR20P set and the TR's are actually THINNER at address and look more like a players iron than the Mizuno 225 - which has been reviewed as 'the best' players cavity/distance iron in 2022.

 

IMO The Honma TR20 line is extremely underrated. Very short blade length, very thin topline, tons of forgiveness in the P model, and great feel.

 

Better than the P790, Apex Pro, P770, 225, etc as an 'overall' iron set.

 

Here's some photos comparing a full 5-PW set of the TR20P and the Mizuno 225's. The TR20P set has the BB&F ferrules, and the Mizuno set are the regular black ones:

One gripe of TR20P.  Sometime it is too long.  not as consistent as 747v irons.  perhaps due to hollow head design.

Still gaming the 747P irons, but I'm getting the itch for something new & cleaner looking. The splash of orange on the 747s is the only reason I'm even considering replacing them. Stupid, I know.
