Went with JRam! Hard to pass him up. Trout, Betts, Scherz went in order. Ended up with an A+ when my draft recap came out.

Berrios out dueling Klubes. Tribe are gonna have trouble scoring runs. That middle/bottom half of the lineup is weak.

When their one big bat (J Rameriz) gets the “0 fer”, makes it tough. Can they manufacture runs somehow?

They say that hope springs eternal in the springtime. With that in mind I suppose that it's fitting that after the first few days of the season the division leaders in the AL are Toronto (tied with Tampa), Kansas City and Seattle, all three of which are in the midst of serious rebuilds (isn't Tampa always in rebuild mode?).

 

Maybe baseball really has changed. Youth is good and aging stars tied to long term contracts are best avoided at all costs. At least with youth you have upside. With a veteran team you never know when father time will come calling.

Everyone from fans, players, owners, media execs have tossed around ideas on how to effectively shorten the game. I get this isn't a popular subject in april when everyone is excited for the season. Some pretty drastic aka crazy ideas have been tossed around including starting guys on base after the 9th inning.

why can't the mlb simply add the DH to both leagues, and then require the pitchers to go to bullpen between innings when their team is at bat. they could then warm up prior to coming on the field. this would eliminate the need to for every pitcher to warm up every half inning. same for relievers. why are we allowing a reliever who has just finished warming up in the bullpen to enter the game and then continue warming up.

 

we don't do this in other sports. this would be a simple change that would actually make a difference in length of games without drastically changing strategy or the game. i can't imagine having a basketball player sub in to the game and then we stop the game while the player coming off the bench runs layup drillls mid game.

I think the 3 Batter minuimum rule (which I really like the concept of) should be called the Dave Roberts rule.
