Don't know if this is true, but the story goes that when they started they had a different name and were playing somewhere west of their home city. Some dude in the audience didn;t like them, and hollered "head East! "at them. Aren't they from somewhere in Illinois?

Great song. Being I was in STL for H.S. I have "Never been any reason" in my top 5 rock songs of all time.

I grew up just across the river. If you’ve moved on and lost touch, you might be interested to know that Mark Klose (yes, one of the guys that put K-She on the map) is just now getting ready to retire.

I saw Chilliwack (see above) open for Bob Seger at Kiel Auditorium in STL,1978-ish. Live Bullet was the thing then. Chilliwack totally kicked Seger’s a** that night...riding high, he obviously mailed it in, only played an hour, with another half-hour encore.

 

More recently, Seger came through town and did a wonderful job...really good to see!!!
