What’s Replacing Your Ping G400 Max for 2019?

Any chance the retail price drops on the G400max this year from the standard 399? Or, will it stay that until at least the fall of 2019?

Thought the F9 would do it, but not yet. The G400 Max is tough to beat long term.

I need to get on a launch monitor with my max. I am putting it against my G 30, same shaft, same 10.5° loft, and the max seems to float a bit.

Unless you are completing dissatisfied with the driver I would wait golf clubs are a way too expensive to keep changing out year after year.

Epic Flash Sub Zero. 500 RPM lower in spin. 5 yards longer in carry. About 10 yards long in total distance. Similar dispersion. Worse/Louder sound, but performance not disputable. G400 Max will stay as a backup for the season.

I played 400 max most of last year and ive been using gen 2 xf for the last couple weeks. They seem very very similar to me. Gen2 might be more draw biased...I've had to loft down from 10.5 to 9 to open the face and move the weights away from the heel as far as possible. Both forgiving heads that give similar flights to my eye. Gen2 feels and sounds best of anything i've hit

I loved my 9* Gmax. That said, I could not turn it over for the life of me! Broke down and bought an M5, set it to draw, Low spin and viola! Baby draws all day long with nearly the same forgiveness (for my old arse). Went side by side for several rounds, M5 is it for this year.(ROFL)

I've had a few different Max heads and some looked closed. I finally got one digitally lofted ( 8.something) and on the small minus it's open for sure. I never want to see the ball go left and rarely do with this head in the TPT shaft.
