Customizing Ping ISI BeCu Irons

I love the styling of the classic Ping clubs (anything designed by Karsten) and recently revitalized & customized a set of BeCu ISIs. The project involved removing the old grips, adding a 1/2" shaft extension, adding new grips, and knocking off the tarnish. While the clubs swing very well, I likely had more fun customizing them than playing with them. ISI were dead solid irons ... I have my set (red dot) from 3-PW in steel and they still look amazing .. going to flip them into a newer set soon

the ISI in nickel were amazing for feel and durability

That's the only knock on the BeCu (I have and Eye 2 and ISI gw and some Zing 2 wedges in BeCu) . .wear

Nice. I too have always loved the ISI. I have 3 sets of them - 2 Nickel sets, both with titanium shafts (just a fabulous combination), and a darn near mint set of Coppers that I took the shafts out of years ago, and just never settled on what I wanted to put in them. I think I need to figure that out and get them in play.

Sea salt and vinegar along with a Scotch Brite pad.
