Ust elements chrome

Is this shaft still relevant? Just saw some on Ebay, and may put one on a f9 tip. What shafts are comparable today? Tensei orange? Thoughts, thanks in advance.

It’s relevant if it fits your swing. UST discontinues this shaft. I’ve never played it but iirc it’s a counterbalanced shaft with a medium high in the 5 and 6 series and medium/low in the 7 series

I had/have one. Didn't get along so well with it in my 45.5" M1, but tipped it a bit and then butt-cut to final length, money in my Ping TiSiTec at 42.5". Mine is the 7F something. If the driver du jour goes bad, that little Ping at 42.5" is an absolute fairway finder and nearly as long when centered, but a lot less forgiving if missed out near the toe. I have the Ping heavily lead taped also, due to the shorter length and needing draw bias.

 

One phrase I'd use to describe it is "Smooth but Stable".

What about any accra shafts? Would the tour z cb compare? I can always add 4 gms to the head to gain more ballspeed. Thoughts?

Yes it is. Funny you posted this. I sold a few shafts I had and will be going back to this shaft. It's a great shaft. I find it mid launch low spin. Also, from my understanding it's not overly counter balanced. Just slightly.

If you want to stay UST the elements Gold is the closet shaft they offer to the chrome now.

Ping Tour shaft is a very close relative

I used a couple of Elements Chrome on 2 Callaway fairway woods -- worked great -- good trajectory and accuracy was much better than the stock shafts

I am using this shaft - 7F5T - on my F9 and I love it. The shaft performs well with the head and it still feels great. I love the feel of the butt end as well. However, I love UST shafts. I think they are consistent performers that feel great.
