Pro tip:  When it is just Mike and Eli, you can use 1.2 or 1.4 speed for playback.  When they get a guest slow it back to 1.0.  The guests, except for maybe the mental guy, have been amazing especially in season 3.  I also keep the 15 second advance button handy for when they go off on a tangent about food, movies, etc.  I think they have their own natural laugh track that gets a bit old at times.  

Haha... glad to you are enjoying it... (i'm not involved in the podcast, just a fan of the show). It's definitely not scripted as far as I know... if it is, they are both really, really talented and also not that great at writing plotlines. 

 

Season 4 is good, and I'm excited for season 5... I do think they are at a nexus point where they need to start really improving on their games for things to continue. I know Mike is all in, but I have no idea if Eli can or will find the time. 

 

I do think they have a tendency towards band aid fixes and could use some more focus on the mental side / strategy side.

I haven't listened recently - did one of them end up getting Adam Young as a coach? Feel like that would push them over the edge.

This is a great podcast! It's like listening to some of your typical golf buddies who also happen to have a great sense of humor. I'm in my late 30s with a shaky (nearly) 11 handicap, so this is very relatable lol. Definitely recommend

So revving an old thread, as i'm really late to the party of this one.  Just discovered the POD about 2 weeks ago, so since then, I've spurned all local sports talk on my commute, which is great timing as it's the worst time of year for sports right now.   I'm at the end of Season 4, which if I have my timeline correct, would be around November 2021?    So I'm hoping to get current within the next couple weeks, then I can go watch the YouTube stuff.  I have stayed in order, I haven't listened ahead or logged onto their Twitter to see what current discussion is. 

 

I will say it was kind of strange listening to them at the beginning of COVID as they had no idea how bad/long it was going to be, as none of us did at the time, and to know some of the things that got cancelled like Spriing Training 2021 and the Bandon trip.  

 

It's a very enjoyable listen and I think they are very relatable.

You are in for a treat. Doing it the right way, imho by not looking ahead. I thought some of the middle seasons were a bit of a lull but this new season is excellent.

Yeah, I had been warned that season 3 got off the rails for a bit.  I'm at the mid point of season 5 right now, they are in Ireland I'm in the middle of that episode.  The last episode was Mike so excited that he had gotten below 4 and was playing the best golf he's ever played and attributed it copying Tigers preshot routine and sticking with it on every single shot.    I got my coworker into it as well, but he just started listening current, so sometime I have to fill him in on what some of the inside comments mean, but we both use the "Lenny cue the  ------ Music" whenever a situation calls for it...ha
