New TM p790 irons ???

The 2019 P790 was just introduced 6 months ago; P790Ti about 4 months ago....not being updated soon.

... I have to think anyone that can hit a 7 iron 200 yards wouldn't be too interested in a players distance iron. Don't get me wrong, everyone can play whatever they want but with that kind of speed, a thin faced iron is going to be more sensitive to a variance than someone that hits their 7 iron 160. And as you said, explosive short irons are also going to call for extra wedges. There is little doubt that distance irons are a niche product, albeit a pretty big niche that can work equally well for high/mid/low index players, but they certainly aren't for everyone.

Still wish TM did a preworn leading edge on these like the P760s. I would probably be playing them if so. Struggle making divots with wider soles without it.

More a gapping problem. This is my second set. Had shafts that were too stiff with the first set (Project X 7.0) and distance control was crazy. It was like every shot was a flyer. Have S400s now and that has corrected the inconsistent distances, but I went from hitting a 7 iron 165ish to right at 200. I have no need for the 3-6 iron as I like my hybrid for 225 yards. The most I can get out of the 8 is 170 so close to a 30 yard gap there. I've had lofts checked as well and they are spot on. I think what others have said is correct, the irons with the face slots are hot. I love the look and feel, but I need something more traditional I guess.

Very ignorant question here. Did TM cancel the 2019 "stealth" P790's or was that a limited release?
