Yealimi Noh walks up the 7th fairway after sticking her approach to within 6 feet.

Wow, so there was a 63 and a 96 in the same group. Must be really tough for the amateur. Today is not much better.

Do you know why Noh went pro? I find it interesting that she is playing these other tours vs. sticking around doing whatever (would she be at UCLA this fall?) and try to get a card vs. the the qualifying school at the end of the year. From what little I've read, she seems to be all-in on the golf game so I guess just following what you want to do. I don't think it's good or bad, more just an observation in relation to the prior comments about no development tour/college system vs KLPGA, etc.

A fun, but grueling day at the tournament. I walked roughly 33 holes, and my poor feet are dying. I caught Hee Young on the 14th green, and followed her group until they finished on the 9th. I then followed Muni for holes 10 through 14, and then hung back to pick up 6ix, Anna, and Celine.

Definitely saw some quality shots. The ballstriking is simply amazing. The putting was a bit off today, though. It seemed a lot of players were burning edges, and stratching their heads. The balls just weren't breaking.

Yealimi is actually familiar with shoot-out in tournaments. She shot -24 last year to win 2018 Girls Junior PGA Championship by 4 shots.

She won three consecutive biggest amateur tournaments in 3 weeks during July/August 2018 ; but she didn't decide to turn pro until September. By that time, the entry deadline for 2018 Q-School had passed.

Undaunted, citing Brooke Henderson in 2015, she decided to Monday qualify in 2019. She planned to earn a LPGA card either by winning a tournament or earn top-40 money. She'll definitely register for 2019 LPGA Q-School if the plan doesn't pan out.

Yealimi is determined to be a professional; enrolling at UCLA this fall would've been a cop out.

She's 17; she won't turn 18 until July 28.

Yealimi is about 5'9”, her clubhead speed is similar to Ariya and she hits 300 yards drives routinely.

Gahh /superjealous /sigh

So happy she made it, that was my big hope for the day, but she was far back enough that I wasn't really expecting it. A good day to be there, wish I was the sort to go.

Really enjoyed the leaderboard and the broadcast today. Mina and Tiffany at T4 -14? Wooo

Loved the part with Tiffany in the booth, the shark onesie just too cute!

I've been real happy with them having different players in the booth, gotten to hear some players knew nothing about. I had used to say they should scrap the repetitive-question post-round interviews, and use them instead to cycle through and introduce the players. They seem to be using the booth to do that, great idea and work.

Sung Hyun already feels pretty imposing here, have to see how tomorrow goes.

I wonder when we will see the 7,000 yard course for these players...

Hopefully not, don’t want the same winners week in and week out.

Yeah, right now a lot of players couldn't handle it. Get the average drive up to 275 (over time) and it will be necessary though.

It didn't get any better today, she shot a 103 today and +55 over 2 days.......ouch!

So who is not excited by Yealini Noh? Good God, what a talent!!

Loved watching SHP "go to work" on that course today. She looked killer - and Tiffany Joh's comment about the Jaws theme playing in her head when SHP plays like this was well founded.

Thanks for the great pics Argonne - feels like actually being there. But 33 holes in a day killing you?! Pah, that's nothing!

Keep in mind that it's not like playing 36 in a day. As a spectator, one can't walk in a straight line down the fairway. There are numerous holes where the ropes take a wide path. Also, there are several points where the distances between the holes are fairly long. The players get shuttled between holes. Oh, and the heat index was in the mid 90s. Lol.

'Just gotta love Wisconsin. I'm driving to a golf course this morning, and ahead I see two state police cars on the shoulder with their police lights on. From a distance it looked like they had pulled over two motorcycles. I get closer and see the officers petting two cows that had wandered on to the highway. Lol. Cheese curds anybody?

Some reasonable excuses there I guess! I know what you mean about not walking in straight lines. At Royal Adelaide GC here we have to scale sand dunes as spectators. The Thornbury Creek lay-out looks very spread out.

So you are saying it was fairly cool (ant plays violin in background)? It was pretty cool here yesterday too at 109 heat index so... . Just giving you the cow patty! LOL. Love the pics and updates.
