I'd hardly call them BOX toes in my opinion... the lehman are much more boxier... I know ppl like to throw that around in the desciption on these Adams...but I personally think its off base.

 

The look really nice, dont get me wrong.... but they really are not like box-toe lehmans ! :tongue:

These have a square toe on them but not as boxy as the Lehmans..

The Lehmans are also Miura forged, where these might or might not be--I have no idea..

Either way--I have to get a set of these to try.. They look very nice..

If the new irons are as nice as the new Adams wedges--I could play both.

There are pics on the "other site" with this particular iron right below a lehman box toe. VERRRRRRY SIMILAR.

 

Also the same guy who designed the lehman's designed these irons as well.

Designed by a guy that did Lehman Box Toes & tour 300 sets for TM but now works for Adams. I wished I would've bought a satin set of those when it was in BST a while ago.

 

Not available for retail unless Adams hopefully changes their minds at a later date.

To my knowledge, the satin sets are cast, and the chrome sets are forged. I know the designer plays the chrome.

hi all:nice looking irons.looks like adams is stepping up to the plate with some nice tour or at least better player quality clubs.i hope the atour irons and the 40/60 and or 50/50 fwds come to retail?does this trend towards tour type clubs hint a tour staff for adams again on the pga tour? :tongue: :help:

I have never had any interest in Adams products, but those are not a bad looking iron. Definitely getting their irons in line with the current styles and clubs.

This set is tour issue only and NOT coming to retail. The Adams aTour iron is NOT forged. Both the chrome and satin sets are "soft cast". There is NO difference between the chrome and satin sets except for the finish.

 

I have an excellent connection with someone at Adams Golf...my set of aTours arrived last Friday. I got the chrome finish, they are VERY shiny...in hindsight, I should have probably asked for the satin finish. In fact, I may "satinize" my chrome set. They are a really clean looking players cavity back. Soft feel, with a nice rounded sole. This is the same exact set that Tom Watson is playing, as well as most other Adams Tour Staff.

There are conflicting stories about these..

Either way--I want a set!!
