Wilson Staff Irons 2020?

Does anyone have any information as to whether the FG Tour V6 and C300 Forged Irons are being replaced soon?

No insider info here, based on their typical release cycles I'd assume the C300 line gets refreshed this year. The D and C lines seem to be on opposite years for release cycles, this year the D7 came out to replace the D300 so it stands to reason that the C300 line would have it's replacement out in 2020.

According to my local shop, the V6 will definitely be replaced in 2020. Supposedly the C300 will be as well but they have not heard about the C300 Forged yet, Apparently Wilson is stuck with a bunch of the Forged.

Are the V6 on a 2 year cycle? if so then I think there should be a replacement in January?

V6 have been out for longer than 2 years. They were released in Jan. 2017. C300 were released later.

The C300 Forged was a really good iron. Flew under the radar for most players. If it’s anything like when the V6 came out, I was able to get my V4’s for $200 new from Budget Golf. Hopefully for those in the market, the C300 Forged will be priced similarly.

I do like the look of the C300 Forged but prefer the V6’s. I would rather get the newer model if one is due to be released although I accept I would potentially pick up a bargain.

Anyone who’s looking for a players distance iron and hasn’t hit the c300 forged is missing out. Excited for a potential v6 replacement, those may be in my near future

I've been trying to find a set of c300 forged for awhile. Surprised to hear that Wilson has a lot of inventory on these. Haven't even seen a set of the gun metal version in stores.

Maybe it's better to look in internet shops? They have the newest eveything.

Interesting. Staff has had some odd timelines with their V series. The V2 was around for 4 years (2011-2015). But, the V4 lasted only 2 years (2015- 2017). If you're right, it will be 4 seasons for the V6 (2017 - present).

 

Is the C line dead?

I know Golfdiscount had the V6's on closeout for $599 if that is indicative of anything.

Does Wilson have plans to release their version of a hallow head iron, similar to the new utility iron?

C300 is a really nice iron. I bet those will sell at closeout prices.
