2019 Ping Hoofer Lite vs Titleist Players 4

Needing some help.....currently I play the ping Hoofer Lite and like it just fine but I tried on the Titleist recently and a few features have me intrigued.

in regards to the Ping I live the bag overall and the best feature for me is every time I pic it up my left arm just falls right into the loop without any effort but my biggest gripe is I hate the water pocket and having to dig around the pocket for my range finder.

When I tried on the Titleist the two exterior pockets for your rangefinder and water bottle were really easy to access and it’s almost a Pound lighter which is a plus, but I’m worried about the leg droop I’ve read about.

has anyone compared the two extensively?

I don't know how comparable the Players 4 is to the 4up Stadry but I had the Stadry and currently game the Hoofer Lite. I agree with you, the Lite is so easy to pick up/carry. The Stadry 4up was small and while light, the straps were not comfortable at all. I sold it off and have stuck with the HL. There doesn't seem to be a perfect bag out there, but I am finding the HL to be the closest thing to it for me. Only other bag I have had few gripes about while carrying is the Jones Utility, but the Hoofer Lite is even better than that one for me as it is so well balanced AND has the grab handle.

Thanks, pulled the trigger on a 2020 Titleist players for with the 25% off at DSG today.

Figure I can load it up and walk around my house and if it doesn’t work I can just return it locally.

I had the Ping Hoofer lite for a couple months and hated how hard it was to get things in / out of the pockets. They're way too tight, so I took it back and got the TaylorMade FT lite and it's awesome! It has self adjusting shoulder straps and much better pockets. Also better slot for a rangefinder.

That’s my biggest complaint about the Hoofer Lite, I tried the Players 4 but the straps were terrible. May need to check out the Flextech Lite...does it have full length dividers?

The lite does have full length.

I thought they were ~3/4 length because they don't attach at the bottom due to the collapsible hoofer base

Hm i'm not 100%, the description on the TM website says full length.

Got in the Players 4 and love the bag, the two openings on the outside of the pockets for your water bottle and range finder are genius; I especially love being able to pull out my rangefinder as I’m walking to my ball, zap the yardage and put it away before I have to take my bag off. This feature alone would make this a winner...

BUT....

The straps I sincerely hate, coming from the Hoofer lite they are a bitch to slip on.

im trying to replace the straps or even better find a way to take the straps off the Hoofer and put them on the Titleist.

Titleist straps are my least favorite feature. I own the 2018 Players 4 and the 2019 Hybrid 5. Well, the water bottle location is bad because you can't really use that pocket for anything but gloves with a water bottle in place.

Leg droop can be fixed by adjusting the tensioner.

It sounds like the straps on the 2020 version Titleist are much improved!
