I love mine, I had Kyle at Bastain Milled weld one up for me last year. I have bought and sold a lot of putters in my time, but this one isn't going anywhere. It isn't always in the bag, but it's a very solid putter and seems to fit my stroke well. I have always used face-balanced mallets and switching to one with some flow has been a great option to have. They can be expensive, but it was definitely worth it for me. I just put on a KBS CT Tour shaft yesterday so I'm excited to get it out and see how it feels. I know it's a putter shaft, so I'm not expecting anything ground breaking...but it's gotten good reviews and didn't break the bank so I figured why not.

Bastain did mine as well and like wise it will be in my bag for a long time. I’ve never had as much confidence with a putter in my life. The toe hang has made it feel like a blade which I’ve always used but I like the alignment of the mallet. Best of both worlds

I'm currently working on one for myself. I went with more of a H7 style hosel. Just trying to figure out where to send it to get finished and what finish I want to go with.

I’ve got a x5 and I want to have this done so bad. What are you guys seeing cost wise.

I bought a used and beat up x5 off of eBay for cheap. Then I bought another extremely used stainless steel putter with a flow neck for like $15 from the bay as well. I cut the neck off the throw away putter and had a local welder weld the neck on for me. Now I’m just trying to figure out what finish I want and who to send it to. I’m really digging the chameleon finish from the golf garage but $175 seems high for me.

So far I am in for well under half of what buying one would cost.

Honestly, the x5 with the welded neck was my dream to have. But, i remember i calculate how much it was, and decided to go with the jailbird mini s. But with money been no object, i would have gone x5 all day. Maybe in the future....

Does anyone know if you can fit the x5 in a mid mallet Scotty blade style cover !!! Just do t like the two parts of the x5 one and all the mid mallet are more for x7 size putters

The X5 does not fit in a blade cover. It's a shame nobody makes a headcover to protect the hosel and head at the same time. The standard mallet headcover with the two flaps that wrap around the shaft leave the hosel exposed to damage and wear.

Does it not fit in the mid mallet blade one as it fits the 5mb putter shape ?

I just picked one up off BST and really love it so far. Definitely a firmer feel off the face compared to Odyssey and more of a nice click, frames the ball nicely. Only complaint as others have mentioned is the headcover. I much prefer the Odyssey magnet closure, much easier design.

I just put my x5 in a mid mallet headcover I had laying around. It does fit but it is tight and if you don’t remove or cover most of the Velcro it will scratch your putter. That said it is doable.

Got a mid size mallet cover and the x5 fits okay once the cover moves a bit but looks quiet good

Just got her back today and it is beautiful. Can't recommend Continental Golf enough. Simply amazing.
