Seeking 2 Hybrid for forgiveness and Distance.

I currently play M6 4 hybrid that goes 200-210ish. It's firmly in the bag. Since M6 doesn't make 2 hybrid, I am looking for a distance/forgiving 2 hybrid that launches fairly well.

Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated

I went with a 915H 18 degree hybrid about a year ago as a 5 wood replacement. It is a great club for those short par 4's and going for the green in 2 on par 5's. Don't get so caught up on the number on the hybrid. Some companies 3 hybrid is 21 while others are 19. Try to find one with the correct loft.

As a high handicapper I find my Callaway Rogue 4 hybrid very forgiving. It's somewhat oversized looking to my eye and makes me feel like I won't miss. Looks like they made a 2H at 17*. The Rogue X 3 Hybrid is 18*. If you can test one of those out, it might hit the distance number you need.

I would try the 19* 3-hybrid before you write it off completely. You may find it goes the distance you want while giving you the same feel as the 4-hybrid you like.

If you want something that's a true fairway wood replacement, I would look at the 17* Callaway Super Hybrid. It's a larger head and supposedly extremely easy to hit. The adjustable sleeve allows you to go down to 16* or up to 19* too depending on what you need.

Thank you. Yesterday, our 18th hole is tight 415 yards, OB right and hazard left. I hit my 4 hybrid twice to hit the green and parred, but I had to go after it. I am horrible with fairway woods. Wishing I had something just a little longer for tight par 4 and tight par 5.

Ping G410s are adjustable and very easy to hit. Go demo some of them with diff. lofts/shafts!?

I still play cobra bio cell 16-19 degree. I'm on my third or fourth one. I've tried M1, M3, M4, 915, 816, and apex pro, but still keep going back to the $30 cobra. That thing is a rocket launcher.

It would be different for everybody. The loft difference is 3* I think. That would represent 10y for one person, maybe 15y or more for another. I'm not sure how much further you're wanting to hit the next hybrid over your 4-hybrid.

I prefer gap of 20+ yards. I can always choke down and fill the gap. I am trying to avoid hitting fairway woods.

I played the Callaway Rogue 2 Hybrid last year and really liked it. I have the Tour AD IZ shaft in it, which is very good.

I just bought the Callaway 2 Super Hybrid, and only have a couple of rounds with it so far, but really like it as well. Can't go wrong with either of them, in my opinion.

If you are looking for a fairway wood replacement, I'd look at some of the Tour Edge 2 hybrids. I'm a cheapskate, so I recently bought an original XCG 16* hybrid for <$50, and it is an amazing club. Long and forgiving. I have A/B tested it against several of my favorite fairway woods (including recent TEE offerings), and (for me) it is a clear winner. Perhaps the newer TEE stuff is even better, but I wouldn't bet on it (titanium cup-face on this ~2008 club).
