I just got rid of mine down South, too many over draws ... and now I see these tips

both of my heads are 203, one has a 3g front weight and 2 sliders, other has a 14g front weight, 1 slider

So I picked up one of these from CPO marked as very good condition but is really super clean on top. Fuji Speeder shaft. Cost after trade-in? $17. Few skid marks on bottom but who cares. Probably one of the final days they shipped before getting shut down by The Thing. Took it to the range, left it in current settings (standard loft, sole weight about an inch from full fade setting.

Hit it very well. Flat flight, really got out there. The flight is about perfect. The one thing I noticed was it sounded a bit loud with range balls, louder on contact toward the toe side. Not Ping G30 loud, not even close, but also not muted like Titleist 917 D2, which I like. Is the ‘15 GBB known as a loudish driver? Do weight settings affect the volume? I like the driver and want to dial it in and put it in play so am just looking for feedback on sound. Happy to add 3g of hotmelt in the crown but wanted to check with the experts. It very well could be my non-dialed in contact! Thanks.

Mine is hotmelted since I cut the length down some but I love the sound, though full disclosure, this is only second driver I've owned so my experience is limited. When you middle it there's a nice crack type sound, not metallic or ear piercing. Drift out to the toe and it's duller, but sound and feel on a quality strike is very rewarding in my subjective opinion.

That’s good to hear, no pun intended. I am sure it was me. Have not been able to hit many balls these days. I’m going to fiddle with it. I didn’t have a lot of time. I think I was hitting high enough on the face but on some a bit heel side. They still were long. The ones I smashed sounded better. Overall feel and forgiveness is outstanding. And with the removable weights it would be easy to put 3 or 4g of hotmelt under the crown. That’s all it takes. But I’ll adjust it as is and get it out on a course before I add anything.

Eight years ago or so I was living in California. I played a 46-inch Callaway Razr X Black Ti driver and hit many big drives in competitive rounds. I liked how it set up. Something about the Callaway drivers of that 2012-2016 era. (Razr X FIT, XHot, XHot2, 816 Alpha DBD, GBB ‘15, XR16 Pro). The test that Rick Shiels did (he hits 5 years of drivers from various brands) persuaded me that any of those works as well as the newer ones, though I do like the Rogue SZ. What I mainly need is to put the ball in the fairway.
