Best 14way carry bag

Just looking for some feedback. Walk 50% of the time. Like the vessel 2.0 and Sun mountain 4.5ls. Is there anymore out there that a guy should look into. Thanks guys.

Nike Air Hybrid. Its a true 14 way bag. Best bags I've ever owned. It has a great strap system and pocket setup.

How is the club tangle? How many dividers are there and do they go all the way down to the bottom of the bag. I’ve been thinking about a 14 way bag. I have a Ping Hoofer and love it, but the club tangle is killing me. I played on a cart the other day and the bag was a bit tilted and I was fighting clubs in and out all round. I saw one site said 14 dividers. Is each hole a separate pocket?

the Nike bag has me intrigued, love the all black, just like the hoofer.

Ya, dividers are full dividers right to the bottom. I have midsize ndmc’s and don’t have a problem with tangle. The bag will still move around in the back of a cart a little, but all in all it’s a great bag.

I have the SM LS 4.5 14-way and it’s a great bag, used it for 50+ round last year mostly walking. Anyhow, I have the Air Hybrid enroute (mostly because I’m a Nike snob and i love the white option) so I’ll try and give a comparison soon.

Air Hybrid is awesome... maybe a little on the heavy side for carry! But I wouldn’t trade mine and wished I’d have gotten a white one while they were on sale recently!

Ogio ALPHA Convoy 514 RTC bag has been awesome. 14 FULL length dividers and plenty of room for all of your stuff. Very well made imo as well. I have had it since October and dont see myself changing it anytime soon.

Do any of you use the Ogio or the Nike on a pushcart? I've had the same old Nike 14-way stand bag for 10 years and I love it, but just got a pushcart and it doesn't sit well. I assume they've changed the bottom in the past decade. I'm intrigued by the Ogio Convoy SE, but Nike has been good to me.

My bag arrived to day, of course I cant play right now, but I can say that I am going to love this bag. It fits very well on the BagBoy Quad XL, but I find that most bags do fit on the BagBoy. I had a Clicgear 3.5+ before and it did not play well with stand bags that had a foot to kick out the legs. The Hoofer that I replace worked well on the Clicgear, but it had a flat bottom. The BagBoy does not seem to care, just does its job.

Another vote for the Sun Mountain LS 4.5 14-way. I also looked at the following before finally deciding on the Sun Mountain:

Titleist Hybrid 14

Ping Hoofer 14

Ogio Convoy 14

I'd check them all out...

What pulled you to the SM compared to the Ogio Convoy (SE I'm assuming?)

It twists sideways constantly on riding carts and sometimes the base doesn't fit in the cart unless you purposely put it in sideways. Haven't used it on the bagboy nitron yet but since there are no cart strap channels, the tighter you make the straps to keep it in place, the harder it squeezes in the the clubs. Again, I'm sure Nike has made some adjustments to the base since I first got my bag 10+ years ago. I'm assuming you haven't had the opportunity to put the new bag in a riding cart, but do you have any reservations about it sitting in there nicely?

No on reservations. It fits nicely in the Quad XL. I had issues with the Hoofer sitting straight in riding carts. Last time I played the club tangle drove me nuts. And that may have been due to it not sitting properly in the riding cart. I hope I get to try it out soon!!

Yes, in the end it came down to the SM 4.5 LS vs the Ogio Convoy SE. I liked the layout of the SM better, and got a great deal on it. Very impressed with it so far - plenty of room for what I need to keep in the bag, the adjustable straps are great and really balance the bag when carrying, and although its light it seems pretty sturdy. I recommend it.

I previously owned an Ogio, and they make great bags. I'm sure I would have been happy with that as well.
