Military courses that are on actual bases are open to escorted civilian guests. On some of the courses you can sign up for a pass that allows you to enter unescorted.

No flags? Supposed to play there on Friday but no flag seems weird. Played Oak Quarry yesterday and they had raised cups, which was different. I don’t know if i want to play without flags.

Played rustic today for the first time.

I finally understand the hype. I LOVE IT!

 

But with no tee markers and signs it was a little confusing as a rookie.

Played Oak Quarry - in great shape. One per cart or share a cart if family/close friends. All touch points were eliminated and raised cups. POP was right at 4 hours.

I have a tee time there for friday and I booked it at $79. I looked to add another player to my tee time today for the same time and it is $152???? Price gouging?

Saw the same thing. $110 online and when I called to reserve my spot I got an email confirmation at $125 per person.

That’s crazy. Goose creek normally charges $88 on the weekends and they have gone up to $95

Did Rancho San Joaquin and Anaheim hills get shut down for violating distancing requirements?

No. They just had closed when the original shutdown order came through. With how cheap American golf is I'm frankly shocked they haven't re-opened since definitely allowed now in OC

Anyone know of any driving ranges that are open to players who don't have a tee time? Anywhere within 50 miles from downtown Los Angeles in any direction would work.

After 2 months of being a house prisoner, a couple of hours of chipping, putting, and full swings would be enough to get me ready for my regular golf routine. I usually don't play well after a layoff, so practice is a big part of my game.

What's screwed up is I live 2 blocks from my home driving range, but it's in L.A. County, so chances of it reopening anytime soon is probably remote.

I don’t know about Anaheim, but none of the Irvine courses are open yet. Though strawberry farms looks to have tee times starting on the 1st.

 

coyote hills opened also, isn’t that American Golf? Oh yeah, Casta Del sol also. So maybe it’s a more of a city thing than an American golf thing.

Are you a players club member? Rancho San Joaquin now has tee times up on the golfzing page and golfnow, with the players club prices on the golfzing site. We haven't been getting charged for players club though, so i'm not sure how this is gonna shake out.

When i log into the golfzing site it doesn't even show i have an active players club membership anymore.....interesting. I just hope they open up their darned range, but they were pretty good at emailing updates earlier on, so kinda surprising if they opened back up and didn't tell their members.

St. Mark looks open in San Marcos as of tomorrow 5/1 but definitely price gouging. Most of the tee times are almost double what they were before. But a lot of times are already booked so clearly there is a market for it.

Torrey and Balboa open up tomorrow with restrictions! San Diego golf is back!!

The course was in great shape. Some patches of rough was really thick and greens a little slow, and I played early am so some bunkers little wet. Bring water /beer and snacks cause no food at the turn or cart girl driving around. Have fun. It’s one of my favorite courses.
