As a big fan of The Golf Club 2, im pumped to see them make a game with real players and trademarks. If only it was already available during quarantine...

Hopefully the game is where you start with a golfer and are able to build them up. The Golf Club was ok, but was definitely missing that feature.

The Golf Club 19 added the PGA Tour. Only had TPC courses licensed, but had a full season with the FedEx Cup. Also had the Korn Ferry Tour that you had to make it out of before heading to the PGA. No licensed golfers though. It’s pretty good and hopefully they’ll build on that and add more courses and some golfers. The cool thing is finding people that have made, Pine Valley or Seminole, etc and you can play them. Some of these course designers get them down to a T.

I only have a PS3, will wait until DEC when PS5 comes out, and hopefully it works on the system.

It will. Sony confirmed most games are backwards compatible. I can't imagine a brand new game not working on the PS5.

I really hope they add a little more fun to the game, like the old Tiger woods games, i've played the Golf Club games and they're nice sims but they're a bit bland at tiimes.
Having said that the course designer kicks ass@shakey Can't wait for the Last of us 2 as well, and Ghosts of Tsushima, coming into winter here, good excuse to play some games.

How’s the game, now that it’s out? Is it a must buy? Xbox one here. Given all that’s going on, including air quality from wildfires and fall/winter coming...in going to need something to scratch the itch.

I play on Xbox One. I've been enjoying it. It's not a home run - but it's pretty darn good. Good gameplay and graphics, enough difficulty setting options to make it interesting for a while. And, as an equipment junkie, being able to have my actual driver and putter in my bag in the game (Sim Max, Triple Track 10 S) is delightful ?

I'm currently playing and enjoying the game. Not too difficult and I've won a few tournaments. Found that the courses with wind were the hardest.

I've been playing it a bit, better than Golf Club 2019. It can be super tough or super easy depending how you set it up in the settings. The "Swing Calibration" helps a ton because it will adjust the timing and path to you. I suggest doing this every time you increase level or it will be slice fest.

There are some things that can be fixed like your guy can bomb a drive 300+ but will need a 3W or 5W to for a 200 yard par 3. Seems like wind is the method to make a course harder along with pin placements in corners so you gotta gauge the wind to get it close or just dump it in the middle and putt well.

The pros is kinda nice to have in a way, I'd just be happy with their names and faces because you can't play as them or against them but those highlights are annoying and repetitive after after a few hours of game play, like you can only watch Justin Thomas sink a bunker shot to make par only so many times in a round. I'm gonna see if I can turn this off because I just skip all of them now.

The other issue with the pros is on the leader board like someone could be at -10 then they show a highlight and his card suddenly says +2 but he's playing a -1 that day. Like nothing matches up.

Equipment, again it's nice to have it in the game but some stuff is just head scratching like TaylorMade doesn't have any of their actual wedges in the game but you can use a P790 as a wedge. Wilson has their Launch Pad irons in the game, who the fuuk is playing these on the PGA tour? There isn't much in terms of players irons like a CB or MB irons except the Wilson blades. Or if there are like the Ben Hogan somehow their irons swapped for which is more forgiving. Many brands are missing like Ping, Titleist, and Cobra but this can easily be a licensing thing.

Overall the game is solid, it's a good easy time killer which is why I play it. But if you're looking for a full on golf experience or try and relive Tiger Woods golf you're going to be very, very disappointed.
