Iron Sale! Ping i210, Ping ISI, Mizuno blades MP-14, Price drops

Recommended Posts

Please see the iron sets I am selling below, let me know if you have any questions. If I sell one or two of these I may take the other set down to keep, just need to reduce the hoarding in my garage. All prices include shipping to CONUS.

Ping i210 - DG120 X100, 3-W retro lofts $sold

3 is standard length, 4-W are +1/14" length (extra 1/2" by extensions, can remove if preferred and the shaft will be -1/4" from standard), can ship with Tour Velvet Midsize grips that are on or pull them for you and ship gripless for $25 off price. If you prefer the standard lofts I can ship them to Ping where they will adjust loft for $30 and ship to you (I did this with a previous set I sold and it was no problem). Best irons I have played by a wide margin in terms of feel, consistency and forgiveness. I am keeping another set of i210 as my gamers and selling this backup set so someone can use them instead of waiting 2 months to get a new set from Ping. Pictures show 8i face and 5i length.

Ping ISI Steel - Green Dot, +1/2" ZZ65 shafts with Cushin inserts.(check picture for actual 5i length), 3-W, refinished by Ping and have not been played since I received them back. Planned to use this as a second set but lots of other options on my shelf and never got the chance to see if I like them more than the others $330obo

Tempted to buy the Mizunos just for the two iron.

Love to see you play it!

- Something that continues to go long off the tee in the fairway
- Something that is a fairway finder when needed and long
- Something that high, consistent and helps with par 5’s
-  Something to help with long par3’s and short par 4’s

-  Something metal, lots of them and go the gaps I need
- Something metal, 2x of them and helps me 120y and in
- Putters - limited rotation because I cannot afford misses

Golf is what you make of it.  Play grateful and accepting. We are all lucky to have it.

Rather than expecting lets all try and appreciate instead.

Hey, I just want it for my WITB. I have no intention of trying to hit it (at least with any witnesses present.)

LOL!!  IMO when someone can play an iron like that its worth watching!  But bag watching is always fun too. 😃

I’m not familiar with S300u...shaft bands are missing and I never pulled grips to inspect the serial numbers...any way you know how to tell from looking at them?

Reason I ask is if the shafts were S300u, the u identified that they are .370 parallel tips. The MP-14’s from 1992-94 were .370 parallel and then 95-2000 were .355 taper tips. My old set I played for 12yrs were the .370’s and tipped ALOT, and I’m trying to replicate that set again. If you have calipers you can possibly go right above the ferrule but that’s not a perfect way either. Honestly all the heads are great and in the whole scheme of things it doesn’t matter which shafts they have, just me personally, I’m looking for the .370

Mizuno made MP 14 irons from 1994-1997, according to the Mizuno timeline chart.

Never heard of parallel tipped MP irons.

True Temper made their labels with S300 on one side and S300U on the other. You would wrap the label around the shaft depending on what size tip you had.

Here is the information sent to me from Mizuno when I emailed them a few years back.

MP-14 SW-D2 Dynamic Gold .355 taper tip V-groove

Dynamic Gold .370 parallel tip (92-94)

Produced from 1992-2000 (2000 -1/4” shorter)

Right hand only

There were 100% no doubt .370 parallel tip MP-14’s produced. Mine are still complete factory with factory hosels that have the serial numbers engraved, and they are .370 parallel tip S400u

Also I clicked on the link you provided for the past irons and when I went to the MP-14 picture and specs, I have to say that I’m very disappointed in Mizuno. The picture is of an old used club with the incorrect ferrule on it, and the specs are from a website called golfclubspecs. I would have thought a company like Mizuno could have at least provided their own specs and a good picture, especially since it was one of their most iconic clubs they produced
