Jones original in a ClubGlove travel bag

Hey guys, 

 

Was wondering if anybody has just tossed a jones carry bag (no structure) in a club glove collegiate travel case or any similar soft case? Heading to Scottsdale in a couple weeks and did not want to bring my Stitch SL2 since it's what I keep at my club. Was worried the lack of structure may cause weight to be on top of a shaft with nothing to keep it suspended.

The stiff arm should help out at the very least. Maybe also bungee the clubs together so they arent sliding about inside as well.

good call I went and grabbed one and then put the bag in and it seems to be stiff enough! Will probably stuff some towels in between the clubs to keep them somewhat stable

with the Jones bag, pack your irons heads down and pull any removable heads from your long clubs and pack those separately. towel wraps are also very protective as long as TSA replaces them correctly.

the bungee cord idea from @bambooluv is a winner.

your travel bag is a very durable model used with an internal stiff arm.

What the above have said is great. I fly between Ohio and California a couple times a year with mine. 
 

I don’t even bother flipping the irons. Just pack towels and clothes around the clubs, remove wood heads and pack in the pockets inside of the headcovers. 
 

Plenty of room in the travel bag for extras too.

I have.  Stiff arm and towel/clothes wraped around club heads.

How’d this work out for you!? I have a jones original carry bag and was thinking it’s better to fly with that vs my ping hoofer (I’ve had the legs break off before).

My ping hoofer legs have never broken in my collegiate size Club Glove.  With Stiff arm, towel around the irons and driver head detached.   With 2 pair of shoes, so it’s tightly packed.  Probably 50 trips.   
 

I think a lot of damage happens when the travel bag is too large for the golf bag and can move around inside.
