Storable Indoor Putting Mat

Looking for a good indoor putting green that is able to roll up to store. I have PLENTY of room in my rec room for one, but need to be able to store it when not in use. With a 4 and 2 year old that use our rec room as a play room and a large Mastiff at home it won't be safe sitting out when not in use. I don't mind having to take the extra time to break one down to put away and then reassemble to use if it'll be better than something that doesn't require that. Any suggestions?

I really like it.  You can easily roll it up.

Am looking at Big Moss currently. They seem really nice. Just not sure how well they would handle being rolled up frequently and stored that way for days at a time.

I have a birdie ball.  It is usable right after unrolling, but much better after a couple of hours to flatten out completely.

I bought the cheapy one from Roger Dunn and love it.  Its really thin and works great on a hard floor, easy to roll up.  I bought a "nicer" one that is thicker and the roll was not nearly as pure and wobbled and threw it away.  I've got 2 of the cheap ones and they roll pure....

This is a great thread! I ended up going with camry trunk carpet - recommended by webb simpson and ben crane. I used this link to purchase https://www.ebay.com/itm/363406062134 he gave me a good deal on 20' worth , I paid $110 shipped. Rolled 11 speed and true, description was quite accurate and was very happy with it. I definitely would recommend this as an alternative to artificial.

I roll my birdie ball matt up and keep it in the garage. I unroll it several nights a week in my living room.

 

Then roll on it is very true. I find putting on real greens (Bermuda here) is just a bit different. The ball doesnt waiver offline on the birdie ball. Where you putt it is where it'll go. 

 

I unroll it and just flatten the ends. Takes all of 5 minutes to have it all flat.

I went with the Original EX1 V2, which is 3' wide x 12' long. Included a free universal string drill kit, which I think I'll get plenty of use out of.

I own a stimpmeter. My basement carpet stimps at 13.5 feet and my family room carpet stimps at 11 feet. I have 50 feet of open space in the basement and 20 feet of open space in my family room. The next time you need carpeting, keep your golf game in mind. You’ll never need to roll it up. Just drop some golf balls on your carpet and groove that putting stroke.
