I don’t get why they only have a single flex for each weight e.g. 60g = R.

 

Seems a bit restrictive if someone wants a heavier shaft to play R unless that can be done with soft stepping through tip trimming.

Yes can do.i heard som lpga playets do that with the 80

why?  because it's cheaper to design and manufacture.    Yes it is very restrictive since stiffness and weight should be fit independently.   But unfortunately it's nothing new for KBS.  They do the same with all their steel shafts.  Soft/hard stepping can help in some cases but can only do so much for stiffness - it's not the same thing as changing flex.

KBS needs to trim their lines down, IMO. Way too many shafts that have overlapping profiles and way too many “made for” oem versions.

The made-for versions very often are variations on prior-cycle stand-alone shafts. The "made for" are tweaked to serve the needs of golfers who are likely to use the particular iron or driver model.

 

I am a moderate swing-speed golfer, and "made for" proprietary KBS C-Taper 90 iron shafts worked well for me in TM SLDRs. Gave same or better launch numbers than some upcharge shafts.

Did the price on these suddenly go down?  When I looked at these a couple of days ago, I could have sworn they cost $79 per shaft.  Now the site is listing them at $65 per shaft.

 

If so, I'll wait a few weeks until they go down to $29 per shaft.  lol

LPGA players love the TGIs and have no problem tipping for desired flex. TGI is definitely one of the best graphite iron shafts going so I’m sure these will be good, too.
