Big Stand Bags

Sadly my current bag has seen better days.  I'm looking for a big stand bag, I don't ever walk and if I did I wouldn't be carrying.  I've been looking at the C-130s and the Ping Hoofer Tour.  I kind of like the mini staff bag from Taylormade (the sim 2 stand) but it doesn't seem to be available in the US.  Are there any other bags I should be eying (not interested in cart bags or staff bags, I want a stand)?  Not interested in the Vessel due to price, $300ish is about the max I'm looking.  Anybody have any pictures of the 130s and Hoofer Tour with the pockets and loaded up?  

 

I've gone through numerous threads in this section and they haven't really swayed me either way.

Mizuno Tour 6-Way Stand seems similar to the Ping, MotoCaddy HydroFlex looks larger, and maybe the Zero Friction ZF from the pics.

Sun Mountain should make some pretty large stand bags.  I have a 5.5 from a few years ago and its HUGE.

Ogio Convoy RTC is a great combo of what you’re looking for. Range to cart so basically a cart bag with stand capabilities.

I think Titleist & Ping have some 14-way stand bags that are bigger. Probably other companies do too

I have that Mizuno bag. It's great. Plenty of room for me.

That bag looks great.   I'm almost certain that's where I'm leaning, how is the white holding up?  Easy to clean?  Am I blind or do I not see a tee pocket?

So this one hasn't left my office haha I loaded it up once and I absolutely LOVE the bag and the look. The materials feels like it'd be very easy to keep clean. It just might be a touch big for me with the size of the ball pocket and everything so I've been debating on selling it or using it haha

 

I'm not sure which pocket on most bags you would call the tee pocket but there are 2 padded, detachable zipper valuables pouches in 2 different places inside the bag as well as some inner storage compartments inside the big side pocket as well (not ones that would hold tees but could help organize some other items in there). The magnetic pocket is huge as well and probably where I would personally store tees, used balls, and my rangefinder.

 

The ball pocket is huge...you could easily fit a couple dozen balls in there if you really wanted to. There's also two drink holders that zip up and expand so that could always be repurposed for other stuff if you'd like as well.

 

No shortage of storage in it for sure.

 

If I could get a regular hoofer in these materials and look I'd be super stoked

Appreciate the insight.  Went with the Ping bag, didn't have a lot of options to select from since I needed something before my next round (held onto my old one 1 too many rounds).  I'll see how it goes the rest of this season and go from there.

I have over 150 rounds on my Hoofer Tour, and the white is holding up pretty well. I gave it a good soaking with Scotchgard Water and Sun Shield when I purchased it, and it seems to help. 

 

There are a few wear spots on the black fabric, but that's due to the bag rubbing against my body when I'm walking. If you plan to ride only then it should last a good long time. The white material is very strong.

 

The bag has a ton of room for a stand bag.

Even if I got back to walking, my carrying days are done and over with thanks to my back.  Need to get me some black and white headcovers now to complete the look.

I have both the C130S and the Ping Tour.  For overall storage the C130S is better.  More pockets, better laid out, etc.  For "curb appeal" the Ping is awesome.  Great materials, looks great, etc.  For this reason I use the Ping all the time now.  Easily fits on my ClicGear cart.

There are tons of small companies that make high end leather headcovers in white/black, but I went with the Ping Core Headcovers for my driver, fairway woods, and hybrid. 'Not cheap, but not crazy expensive. The driver cover retails for $35.

C130S and 5.5 are completely different bags.  I had the 5.5 and it's a true "big brother" to their 4.5 carry bag, complete with dual carry straps.  The C130S is their best seller C130 cart bag but with a stand (still only has a single strap).

Sure, its just the biggest of the standbags they have now from what I can tell (didn't see the 5.5 listed).  But you could for sure still probably find a 5.5 on eBay.

I wasnt a fan of that pocket but it really wasnt bad. I kept sharpies, one of the platic ball/line drawing/alignment things, and some lead tape in there.

Titleist's "staff" type stand bag from last year is another one to consider. Couple of teaching pro friends on staff with Titleist use this one and love it. Similar size / features as Ping Hoofer Tour - black vs white.
