I would say most don't want to do that anyway...but the lack of no up charge offerings is 👎. You cannot get a shaft over 60g without paying up 👎.

...then go buy something else? Again - the weekend golfer who needs help taming their slice and wants to go out and have fun doesn't care one iota about an aftermarket shaft. It's a made up problem.

LOL, take a deep breathe.  I said nothing about aftermarket shafts, spending a lot of money, etc.  I'm not a proponent of that, never have been, never will be (get the right weight, and then profile and boom, I can do that for $30). What I am a proponent of is having options....and when the stock shafts are 40-50's gram wise that limits who will buy and who it fits.  They should have some no upcharge option(s) in 60+g and 70+g.

If you're looking for a heavier shaft, fine - but you're defeating the purpose and makeup of the club. That's the point I'm trying to make. The head was designed to be paired with one of the lighter weight stock shafts. If you want to tinker, then odds are this isn't the driver for you.

As far as aftermarket, your original post complained about the cost for non-exotic and exotic upgrades, so...

Even if you get a $50 upgrade shaft you're still coming in a hundred bucks under the competition.

True, but don't underestimate the Launcher XL. It's every bit as long as the usual suspects, even at 110 MPH swing speeds.

I'm not a weekend golfer, I'm actually a low handicap, I don't need an xstiff exotic shaft neither with a bryson 200 mph swing speed.. I don't even have a slice. I have a nice tempo. This driver does very well for me.

I kind of find it amusing in the facebook groups thee amount of drivers and irons with lumber shafts for sale, which does not work for them.

This isn't a driver aimed at someone who's going to want to drop a real deal $400 shaft in it.

Unless you are me... LOL (Srixon adapters fit into the Cleveland heads, so I dropped my ADDI6 from my ZX5 into the XL. Love it.)

I'm actually very interested in trying it out, see if maybe it'll pair well with the HyWood I bought earlier this year.

It shouldn't be surprising. The reason for it is the same one why I find more Pro-V One in the woods than any other ball: You can't buy a swing. 🤒

Scooping up balls to use on the range. I usually hit a dozen or so before a round. I can easily find that many by taking a detour off a fairway or two while on the way to my ball. Not that I never hit one into the woods. I did so twice last year. By rough estimate I hit around 1,000 drives last season, so my Launcher has more than earned it's keep.

Wait, wait wait... You only hit 2 balls into the woods last year, and you're a 12 handicap? I'm also a 12 and in my last round I hit 2 balls into the woods on the same hole. 🤣

So two balls in the woods on one hole means what, triple bogey? You can't do that very often and maintain a 12.

I found the stock Miyazaki to be OK weight wise, but a bit low launching, even in A flex. I replaced it with a Maltby Pro Series UL in L flex. I got the higher launch I wanted, as well as 10 yards more distance, with no loss of accuracy. And it wasn't a $400 expense, it was $40. 😏
