Remember there's a UPS outlet literally *right* next door to the main merch building. You walk right in, takes maybe ten minutes, stuff shows up a couple days later. In fact our stuff arrived at our house the day we got back.

Couldn't be easier.

Thanks @dcmidnight good to know.

I was saying if I was a seller.  But as a buyer yes, safe as you aren’t waiting for a seller to ship to you, your tickets are in Augusta waiting for pickup.  And in all years prior to last year, waiting until a few days prior, when LMS is the only option, is when you got the cheapest price.

any guess as to why last year was an anomaly? Weather? Tiger?

No idea, don't think it had anything to do with Tiger.  But I hear Super Bowl this year was also 10x $$.

Maybe it's a post COVID bump, get out and do things.  I retired during COVID and now it's much easier to travel.

First time poster here. Thanks so much @dmbolpfor all the hard work. I’ve been watching for Monday tickets and saw some drop down to $880 before fees on SH today but they didn’t last long. They were shipped, not LMS. Hopefully the dive is starting 🙏

Sure hope so, also noticed some Hilton rooms available at several hotels that were sold out earlier. Interesting………

2023 (Tuesday) could have been an anomaly because in 2022 those folks that got rained out were given free tickets to 2023 Tuesday - so almost no new supply on the market and a group that had been ready to go for over a year.

Thought of that, but when you really think about it, that shouldn't matter.  As of the previous Summer (2022 Summer in the case of 2023 tourney) all tickets are assigned for 2023 anyway; whether thru the 2022 rainout (for TUE 2023), or thru the normal lottery process held in June 2022 (for all other 2023 days).  After the 2022 lottery for 2023 tourney, all tickets for all days are assigned to someone; 2022 TUE rainout no longer matters.

A new statistic I'll be tracking this year as we all hope to get the cheapest tickets...# of views of this thread vs. # of posts.  In the last 7 days (THUR 8pm to THUR 8pm) there have been 2,400 views and just 7 posts...come on people!! 🙂

We are waiting on your posts !!

🤣🤣🤣

I have air tickets, hotel reservations...etc and plan to attend Thursday and Friday rounds. The only thing I don't have at this point is tickets. I am prepared to spend a total of 4k, or a total of 2k per day. Last year I was shut out on Thursday and in desperation paid $3300 to SG for Friday (3:00 am Friday morning.) So while my trip stayed under budget, I only saw a falling-tree shortened day on Friday. Should I expect further misery this year with ticket prices, or do I have a fighting chance of seeing two days of action while staying under budget?

Same boat here- attended Friday last year. Last year was my first year and I paid around $2500 with fees in late Feb. I went against the thread’s advice just to ease my stress and to stop checking pricing multiple times a day. I got “lucky” in the sense that while I paid more than what I had seen tickets go for, prices went against 2022 trends and increased prior to the round (as you unfortunately experienced).

I haven’t seen Friday lower than $2900+ w/ fess and I don’t know if 2023 was an anomaly or new norm. I’d probably fill an order at $2500 again though I wonder if we’ll see the drop. I suppose it’s a guessing game!

Haven’t been watching the other days as closely but there is still a Monday seller setting ticket prices at $772 daily then removing them. On the SH app it shows tickets that have sold and none have sold for $772. One set sold for $999 yesterday though. Possibly a seller trying to increase demand by increasing FOMO. Anybody seen this on other days they are tracking?

I haven’t seen the low priced Monday ones you are mentioning as I need Monday/Tuesday tickets myself. I did see the sold $999 plus fee ticket.

I haven’t seen them today, but it was happening around mid morning-early afternoon EST. So ready for the market to get flooded and see what happens in a few weeks!

My wife and I have flights booked from Canada to Atlanta and an expensive crappy hotel in Thomson, GA. We’re looking at buying Monday practice tickets on Stubhub in mid-March (hopefully)🙏  @dmbolp do you know what shipper SH uses - UPS/FedEx? and will it require a signature upon delivery?

I believe it’s UPS.

Not sure about the signature and whether you can waive it on the backend once you get them tracking number. Got to imagine the signature is there for the seller’s protection as well.

A similar Stubhub data point for this "Monday" thing: Wife and I went to Billy Joel & Sting on SAT in Tampa.  I was watching Stubhub prices, particularly in the Hall of Fame Suites (all you can eat/drink).  Finally paid $500/ticket on THUR (at wife's insistence; I wanted to wait), and continued to watch the pricing so that I could rub it in her face when prices dropped even further on FRI/SAT.  But my sold pair never showed up as SOLD (as a listing lined out saying..."$500 Hall of Fame sold 2 ours ago, etc).  I wonder if Stubhub doesn't list relatively low sales, to prevent everyone from waiting until they see a similarly-low priced pair?

That would make sense. SH used to let all sellers use the "recently sold" tool when pricing their tickets. After a while that tool became only available to people who sold regularly. THAT tool would be very useful.

@dmbolp Our group is definitely starting to talk about Tuesday vs. Wednesday based on pricing differences. That's for sure.

That’s totally understandable. Tuesday seems like it’s the “value.” We are doing ANWA so Monday is more desirable but if that wasn’t the case then I would be watching Tuesday.

I went on a Monday for my inaugural visit. For most, the trip is more about seeing the course and experiencing Augusta and less about watching golf.

Unless you have other plans in the area I would opt for the cheapest day of the practice rounds. Thinking back to my time at the masters I would not have had any interest leaving the course to view a par 3 contest.
