Masters Ticket Scalpers

I don't understand the Wednesday hype. I've been each day and to me Wednesday is my least favorite. There are far less guys on course playing, and the crowd is as big as any during the week. The par 3 if fun to watch but only if you can make if for multiple days so you can see the real action. Not worth the extra money unless you just want to see Jack make a few swings...

Monday and Thursday have been my favorite. Lots of action and everyone is on the course.

Yeah, we were really only going Wednesday because we plan to go Thursday for a tourney round. Kind of a catch 22 because if you go Tue/Thur instead you burn up some of the savings on an extra day of lodging and adding golf or other activities Wednesday (maybe too late for a tee time anyway). Probably still land on Wed/Thur and just bite the bullet.

Happy March!  Prices are going the wrong way lately. Any guesses when badges arrive. March 20ish maybe?

Can anyone who’s gone comment if they have a place to check your cell phone and is that the same place you can check your merch? I’ve heard some stories of cars getting broken into so not sure I want to leave the phone in the car and I can’t leave it at the hotel.

No place to check any cell phones, don't even try to bring it. I wouldn't worry about your car being broke into if you park in the masters owned lots they are fine. If you do happen carry your phone (forgot) when you get to security they will turn you right around and you'll have to walk the half mile back to your car. They don't play when they say no phones, I saw a guy get removed once because he made a call from his apple watch. Just leave it in the car it's not worth never coming back.

Was just going to say - there absolutely are check stands where you can check stuff in before you go through security.

You can check your phones / small bags just before the 2 ticket scanning areas (North and South gates); you check your merch inside the gates next to the merch stores.

This is a nice tip. In all the times I've went I've never seen where to do this. I've seen the lost and found but no the check stand. Is it possible it fills up quick like the UPS stand? Bc every time I've seen someone go through security with a phone (people do forget) they are told to go back to their car. Not saying I would use it but cool to know in case you or a friend does forget. I guess I've always been over cautious, don't want to give them any extra reason to check our tickets...

Hey all, new to the forum. I got Sunday tickets via stub hub which I think are a weekly badge rental. I originally picked a listing that would be mailed but stub hub later emailed me saying the tickets would be a weekly badge that I’d have to pick up day of and return afterward. Given that it’s the last day of the tournament do I still need to return the badge at end of day, and if so, am I able to stay for the green jacket ceremony (which is usually around the 7pm return cutoff specified) or do I need to leave when the last group finishes to make the return time? Obviously wish I had paper tickets that I could keep as a souvenir but I’m just grateful to be in a position to go to the tournament at all.

Bought Sundays from SH in 2017. Yes, you will have to return them upon leaving, but will be good to watch the conclusion including the jacket ceremony. I asked that same question when I picked them up  and was told by the SH rep to take my time, enjoy the jacket ceremony and just get them back after that. That was when they had the corner spot at the Publix shopping center, but I can’t imagine much has changed since they don’t have to get the badge to somebody the following day. We enjoyed the playoff, watched the ceremony and there was no issue when we returned the badges.

What is this Speculator up to???  26 listing of 4 each (so I wouldn't have removed them from the # total), labelled: Row A, AA, B, BB...1, 2, 3, 4...and the last one if fun 🙂

So the MON real inventory at least, is much LOWER than we even thought.  Or, is this a partnership with Stubhub and ANGC???

Discounting the above listings, and 3 listings of 10 each, MON is at 86 tickets.  More than half of the listings are speculators.  The above is very strange though, why make that many spec listings at a price higher than 80+ other tickets?   Hmmm

Yeah that is not great. Do you expect listings to increase some when people have them in hand?

One would think to assist in driving demand up to a price point where the speculators feel

comfortable making profit now for when they get supply in a few weeks, no?

Well that's the definition of "Speculating", but how does flooding the market with phantom tickets drive up demand?

The sub $900 tickets have been disappearing. With the information available we have to assume they are being bought I guess since they are “Awesome Deals” according to SH.

One thing to consider is last Monday 2023 was April 3, this year is April 8, so when comparing “this time” last year it was 5 days closer to tournament time. Fingers crossed pricing improves.

I’ve never sold on SH. Do they push certain price points or recommend a listing price for a seller? Example if I list a Monday for sale @ $600 before fees would they even let someone list that?

They give a range recommendation, but you can sell for a $1 if you want.  But that's a great point, as I've said in the past, anyone can create a dummy listing to see how the SELL process works.  So here's what you see for a dummy MON listing:
