I"m currently up (or down depending when you ask) to 3 sets of irons. I played sparingly in 07 and bagged Taylormade LT's- the ones from 2002/3. My back ups were the 99-02 Hogan Apex.

I just picked up some Mizuno MP 33's and those are going in the bag until the grooves wear out. The MP 33's came out around 2000-2002?

The Taylormade LT's are on the selling block, although I'm thinking about just donating them to The First Tee. I'll keep the Apex as a back up set.

I an playing a set of Yonex Vmass 400 irons with stock Yonex senior flex graphite shafts that play more to a regular flex , the set came 4 iron to GW with a addtional 56 SW thrown in i believe that irons are at least 4 years old or maybe a few more but these are a really solid iron , i know Yonex does not get much play in the US but every Yonex set ive owned were a very good club , the reason i play these irons well 1st the shaft even though it's a Senior flex it plays to a regular and give me a least 1/2 club more distance , the head is oversized but not like a soupbowl and even after 100 + rounds with them still look great , i would have no problem recommending Yonex irons to anyone especially if you are a player who likes graphite more than steel

I have been playing the Mizuno MP32's for about a year, but did just purchase a set of Callaway X-forged both sets have the project X 6.0 shafts. Don't know if the x forged will replace the 32's but always looking just not finding. When you get to be my age alway need an advantage against younger players. :)

Accuform PTM blades circa late '80s. What do you want the ball to do; high, low, left, right. You can hit any kind of shot with these and they're so soft you won't believe they're cast. I also have a set of Golden Ram Tour Grinds (circa '83) and Wilson Staff Tour Blades (circa '86) that I'm in the process of refurbing for play this year. Both are uber sweet feeling classics.

Maxfli australian blades i bought in 1999----have not found a better looking iron---nice square toe---set--up perfectly----may replace with scratch tour blades or miura tournament blade irons---addicted to this shape of iron----very few irons have a nice "boxed" toe-----scratch will custom design anything you want but you pay for it 2000----im sure the quality would second to none--a true forging---i have not noticed a huge difference between cavity and blade---i definitely like a razor thin topline and a square apearace----i like the ping s59 as well--great iron but not a forging and the topline was too thick ------either way it makes little difference on irons now or 10 years ago--the manufacturers just try to re-package the same thing theyve always sold us.-----there is no real magic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Not sure if Cally X-Tours meet the 2 year minimum yet but I love these irons... still want to switch out to Project X and I'll be golden for a long, long time...

I'm still playing a set of Armour evo V-31 R.O.'s since 2001 that I simply cannot kick out of the bag. I've tried so many different offerings out there, but this set just fits me perfectly. I've matched other sets specs to mine perfectly, but the Armours still win hands down.

I wan't a new set, darnit! But I hit them too well to get rid of them. :)
