Best Fall Golf in Upstate NY/N. PA?

Hey all,

 

Looking to get rounds in while I still can and considering taking a ride outside my hometown (Binghamton area) to do so.  Recommendations for a great fall round experience in Upstate NY/Northern PA?  I'd also accept Northern NJ (Bergen, Morris, Sussex, Warren counties).

You could head north on 88 and play Leatherstocking in Cooperstown. 

That place shows beautifully in the fall and isn't terribly fall from Binghamton.

Could try southeastern Sussex County/northwestern Morris county, NJ where you have Ballyowen, Wild Turkey, Black Bear, Crystal Springs, Berkshire Valley, Bowling Green, etc. all within around 10 miles of each other as the crow flies. Nice fall scenery when the leaves are turning and courses usually aren't as busy this time of year by NJ course standards especially during the week.

Seven Oaks at Colgate is also a treat.

Another vote for Seven Oaks. Its a top notch public track and shows well in the fall. Unfortunately Hamilton is like Ithaca and a long drive from everywhere. 

 

Rochester- Ravenwood and Greystone are very nice.

Played Ravenwood Sunday. It was dead. I think there were 10 groups or less on the course. Course was in good shape. Greens were running true and pretty quick for a public track. Bunkers are hardpan- only thing that wasn't good.
