I’m staunchly anti printed logos.  They look cheap and don’t last, much like a knit collar on a poly-blend shirt.

You are using the wrong sunscreen if it is staining your clothes.  Pay for better quality.  And learn to do laundry better.

If you are wearing shirts that cost $5 for 10 years I can promise you your and my definition of falling apart are vastly different.  Which is fine.

I've got 50-60 golf shirts, so they get worn 2-3 times a year. What are you doing to render a shirt unwearable after a year? To be clear, I only wear my golf stuff for golf...not work, etc...

By my rude calculations, I'm no math wiz, but with that many shirts and 2 wears a year; you've got to be rocking some awesome 80's polos!

I did just sell some 2005-2008 vintage Nike polos. Got a few bucks for em. Helps pay when I splurge for half price Peter Millars and Galvin Green polos.

20-60 shirts at $20 a pop on average is the same as a guy spending $80 on 15 polos. No difference. 
 

Most people wear a golf shirt more than 2-3 times a year. And cheaper material will stretch, fade, have breakdowns in thread, have bacon neck in the collar, etc.  quality lasts longer for most.

That’s not always the case in spending more on golf shirt thinking it’s gonna last longer is a** backwards. I haven’t bought a single golf polo shirt in a long time now. And I can tell you I’ve never spent more then $30 on a shirt. But you are right though about learning how to do laundry. I think that’s how I’m able to keep all my golf clothing in great shape. 
 

Also clothing can still be bought if it’s just a season old. There isn’t anything wrong shopping the clearance section.

While I do think they run on the expensive side. I have both my Rhoback pieces for about a year and half and are still in good condition. I like the q-zip more than the polos.

I do think they are a little overpriced.

 

That being said, instead of buying different polos for work/casual/golf/nights out I now have a brand that looks fantastic for all situations.

 

I think I've got about 10 Rhoback polos and some pullovers now and I wear them for my office on occasion, nice golf rounds and I even wore one to dinner last night with my wife.

 

I havent broken down the cost fully but I bet my wardrobe size and dollar value has shrunk as I've minimized into buying more versatile, higher quality stuff I can use for all sorts of occasions.

I think the price for quality product is more than worth it. Rhoback or Rhone is head and shoulders above brands like TM who run huge discounts.
