The way the fitter put it was the PLD graphite was stiffer and slightly heavier.  He said the retail PLD graphite has similar characteristics to the chrome shaft.

Those Anser 2 additions will be nice to try out. hope they add a face balance black tyne at retail one day.

Picked up an Anser 2.  Aggressive milling pattern feels slightly less aggressive compared to my 22 Anser.  Shaft seems to be the exact same.

I really like the updated cleaner look and less aggressive milling is a plus, imo. Anyone have an Anser d?

How is this one in terms of alignment and forgivness compared to the 22 anser?

Good question.  Forgiveness wise there’s not much of a difference.  Looks wise it’s more of the historical Anser v Anser 2 preference. I don’t see the lines very well in the matte black finish; very muted.  Feel wise not a whole lot of difference.  Maybe a touch less soft on the 23 with a slight reduction in milling depth.   Not sure if this is a year over year change or a difference between models.  Both feel solid and you can feel the difference with a graphite shaft.  Couple pics attached.

Just an FYI - I think they are all stainless so if you're looking for patina/rust I don't think you'll get it. A glareless/satin finish would probably be achievable, though.

Got a chance to roll some putts with the new PLD Anser D. I didn't really love the shape of it. I definitely prefer the shape of the Newport 2+. The PLD Custom Anser 2D would probably be on the top of my list if I could find one without spending $1,200+. I think I just prefer the flatter bumpers on the wide blade and the Newport / Anser style rounded bumpers on the blade putter.

That’s what I was afraid of with the bumpers. How did it feel?

It felt fine. I think my PLD anser (OG) felt softer but there was also plastic on the face and the balls were clearly not the softest.

Appreciate you checking it out definitely narrows my decision on the Anser D or one of the new wide blade Scotty’s

It's obviously personal preference but it sounds like you lean toward what I'm looking for.

Agreed. I game a Voss 2.0 now and I prefer the flatter bumpers

I rolled the Anser D alongside the new Scotty plus models. Strongly preferred the PING. It’s a shorter heel-toe length than the Scotty offerings and the tri-sole (for me) made it sit much better at address than any of the Scotty models. 
 

Additionally, the neck seemed slightly longer than standard. Felt like it had maybe 30* or so of toe hang. Seemed like less hang than the Scotty’s, but didn’t measure side by side.

I rolled the Oslo 4 today in store and man was it good. I had no clue until after the fact that the head weighed 375 grams. I’m now questioning whether I’ve been playing putters too light all along. Best my stroke has felt in a long time. May have been the combination of shaft and heavy head weight.

I wasn’t paying attention to the shaft, but it appears that the Oslo doesn’t have the graphite shaft?

I’m absolutely loving my Anser D that I got fit into this past Monday. I was able to get it cut and bent to my spec after I did a fitting. My fitter had iPing and it was super cool to see all my data from the fitting. I already had my eye on this putter in particular and was going to wait for the Scotty’s to launch until I got fit into this putter. I’m really confident in my putting right now and have made quite a few good putts that I haven’t seen in a long time.

Anyone know the shaft size on these ? Seen somewhere that it’s a 345? Anyone change shafts from the graphite retail version ( I don’t care about the PING warrenty so save that response)

It is a .345 hosel diameter. I put an MMT shaft .355 tip but had to have the hosel bored to make the .355 tip work. 
 

if you do go aftermarket make sure it is with someone who knows what they are doing installing it

The reason they most likely didn't do the 2D is too close to Finau's putter and can't have tour products at retail.

Maybe, who knows. Don't see too many similar PLD Milled putters that are also on tour.

I’ve got both and can’t tell any difference. Stock in the Anser and PLD custom in an Anser 2. Same exact weight and calliper measurements for i.d. and o.d. as well. Had to pull them to change paint on the heads. Be interested to get them both on a cpm to see if they match up but from everything I can tell, the only difference is the pld logo.

if so, really similar heel to toe length. I thought the Anser 2D would be noticeably longer.
