8 degree TSR2

Nearly a year in and still in love with the TSR2. I have the 9* cranked down to 8.25* so not quite the exact set up but honestly it is brilliant. I really liked my TS3 and got great distance out of it but with the TSR2 I get more distance and more forgiveness. As much as I like to keep Titleist in business, I do wonder how they are going to even get close to getting this out of my bag when whatever next comes around.

Just finished a Titleist fitting. Actually got fit into TSR2 8* w/ Ventus Red TR. Picked up 2.5 mph ball speed and tighter dispersion over my gamer which is TSR3 9* with AD IZ shaft. Of course, I ordered it and cannot wait for it to arrive.

Got fit at True Spec and got almost identical numbers with the TSR2 and TSR3 with slightly less spin on the TSR3. However - from a confidence perspective, the TSR2 just made me feel like I could rip at it and it's always going to be in play. You could practically lay a blanket over my last 6 balls with the TSR2 it was so consistent. Super pumped to get it in and on the course!

Just picked up a TSR2 8 degree head. Have a HZRDUS RDX Blue to start with, but what shafts has everyone found work well with this low lofted head? Excited to go compare some numbers on the launch monitor.

I have a ventus black and TR to try. Hopefully I can make it a modern 905R it wasn't the longest but man was it point and shoot

I'm still gaming a TSR2 8° with smoke green rdx in it.  That thing is a beast! Love the tighter dispersion, and I get a solid flight and low spin.

Yep - still got pretty consistent long numbers with it. Looking at picking up a ventus red to throw in there and see.

I have one. I like it, although it is pretty shallow faced, at least for me. So, I generally tee it pretty low.

Had one all year and it is still in the bag definitely one of the best drivers of the year. Head shape is perfect and it is hot big ball speed gains for me playing it with fuji ventus blue tr 6x.

I have the TSR2 9.0 degree that I have it lofted down to 8.25 in D2. I was hitting the crap out of it from January through July. In August I started to see my distance fall and spin rise. Hitting too many slices. I went to trackman and it appears that my path has gotten too out to in..

 

I have a Ventus Black TR 6x.

 

Would anyone suggest any tinkers to the set up? Or is the best thing to do is just to straighten out the path a bit and hopefully get back to hitting more cuts. 

 

Ive literally got from 280+ to 230 with no changes to SS.

 

I have been curious what the TSR3 would look like, but I really could still use the forgiveness of the TSR2.

Path will make the difference especially if you were once hitting 280. I'm also guilty with just needing to fix my swing vs jusg buying equipment

Finally got time to hitting the tsr2 and took a chance with one that had 5g neutral hot melt. Still need more time with it but c1 setting with ventus black and a 3 gram weight is where it looks to be ideal for me. I have a tr blue and the factory weight and I got some 4k spin rates with those.

Cobra man at the moment with drivers but i got hold of an 8 degree to test. This is some club but i could just do with flighting it down a touch. I'm in c2 setting so can't go lower loft wise. Does altering the backweight make much difference to flight or distance. Had a peek in this one and it has a +2 11g weight in there.

I put a 3 gram weight on mine with c2 and put the factory weight to test. The lighter weight definitely lowered the spin for me. 

You may want to play around with shafts. I had a TR blue in my tsr3. But the regular black gave me the better spin rates

I've heard that shafts can make a huge difference in the 2. TBH i chucked a shaft in that i kept from the TSI4 i used to have. It was a raw orange, so before the 1k's etc. Might see if i can get different weights, this head has me interested. Kinda stopped me in my tracks as i've been testing LTDXls against Aerojet ls for a while now.

My tsr2 I ordered from titleist with a speeder 40g stiff shaft. It's unbelievable, bad misses I get 250 yds , some of my best center hits are 320 yards,  I have it on 8.25 deg and I'm 64 . I  will probably always try new drivers to compare data , because there's nothing else to do in the winter , but I don't see anything ever coming close .

The TSR2 8 degree for me is a nice driver . It seems like it's a tweener Club not really focused 100% on forgiveness and it not super low spin . The toe miss is probably the only weakness of the club as it will go left . I've toyed with the idea of hotmelt I. The toe ......
