First I've heard of them as well but I know you can order a Piretti at 365 grams. I think the DPC look pretty good. I wonder how they feel...

I was privileged to get the chance to roll all the different models, speak with the founders, and discuss what I thought about the putters with great feedback. All three models are heavy but nothing that I thought took away from my ability to get a consistent roll. I currently roll a Scotty 9.5 that is 350g in head weight, so the fifteen extra grams wasn't a deal breaker for me. The face was super soft, almost perfect strikes in the middle of the face feel like you didn't even hit the ball. I am not a fan of the Laguna body on the slant neck model that they had, but it performed as good or better than my Scotty. The Detroit Putter Co. putter would also allow me to use a firmer ball on the greens (Pro V1x instead of a Pro V1), which is my preference in golf balls but my current Scotty putts much better with the Pro V1. I am looking forward to speaking to them again, and hopefully they will be at the Novi golf show the first weekend in March.

Plus they were running a golf show special at the West Michigan Golf Show that made this a putter that dollar for dollar would out preform any comparable Scotty, Bettenardi, or Toulon. Not that it will hole more putts, but it was an incredible thought to be able to talk to the creators, get real time understanding of what and why they were making this product, and to be able to buy a Michigan made product might be the absolute best part.

I find this interesting being that I live 50 miles North of the 'D" and the Woodward Putter comes in LH.  Their Story doesn't tell much of a story on the home page and is vague for sure.

Fun fact:  Woodard Ave. was the first paved roads in the country and one of the first road to have a electronic traffic lights and painted centerline.

Yes,  the writing in the cavity is boring looking but did you see the Face?  The milled face and company logo/weight it not so basic!

These putters look pretty nice, but I agree that the cavity font is a little lacking. With that being said, I’ve seen some other much more expensive boutique makers with even cheesier looking fonts. The face milling does look interesting and probably feels pretty nice, but these heads are too heavy for me to consider. They should offer an Anser 2 model with a lighter head.

I was finally able to roll the Woodward model yesterday.

The feel off the face is excellent and it looked amazing!

The default lie angle is 72 degrees, which was definitely noticeable. I kind of liked it though.

Online, I thought that the text was quite plain. But in-person, the overall premium looks and feel of the putter made that a non-issue for me.

The head feels heavy. I wasn't able to roll and lag putts with it unfortunately, so I'm not sure how the sense of distance control might feel.

I'm definitely considering buying one.

Rolled one of these in the pro shop at The Highlands in northern Michigan (fantastic golf at this resort.) The Detroit putters look great and roll really well. Felt very stable. But 360-365g is not heavy to me, it’s just right. The guys working at the course raved about how well these roll, and it’s true.

The writing on the putter looked fine to me. I don’t know what a “boring” font is, but I didn’t even notice the writing until I read this thread. The putters look very classy.

Anybody roll the Grand River? It's hard to get a read on the face milling from the online images, and I'd like to know more about the shaft. 370 is a little heavy for an Anser, but my Queen B 5 is 362 and feels great.

I recently purchased the Grand River. It’s phenomenal! The details on the milled face is amazing looking. Pictures don’t do it justice. It’s a very clean looking putter. I actually like the heavier weight. As far as the font is boring? What is a boring font? You don’t see the font while you’re putting anyhow. It’s a classy look. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new putter.

I really like this new one from Detroit Putter Company. The 313 is a double wide blade. It looks great and it comes in at 380g, perfect if you like some counter weighting. For this one I’d go with a 40g or so weight in the grip. I noted they have gone to a snazzier font in the cavity so perhaps they are paying attention to feedback, which is good.

As a Michigander, I've been intrigued, but just couldn't play a putter named after a street.

But I could play the 313, even if I'm in the 810.
