Looks like the Original One with a new retro paint job. And that's not a bad thing at all.

I still game the OO. I didn't like the bigger 300. I'm so glad they've gone back to the smaller shape with the dark grey face.

I'll be very keen to put this up against my OO, seeing as the profiles seem identical.

I assume we are looking at around 6 weeks until release date.

I love the colors of this one.  Would prefer a matte finish on the crown.  I love my 300 Mini and it's a definite fairway finder.  I put a driver length Ventus Blue Velocore in my mini and I have not driven the ball better in several years.  It is not much shorter, if at all, than the driver I replaced (tour issue M3).  Driver length shaft makes this a legitimate small headed DRIVER.

Driver:  TaylorMade 300 Mini 11.5° (10.2°), Fujikura Ventus Blue 5S Velocore

3W:  TaylorMade M4 15°, Graphite Design Tour AD DI 7S

Hybrid:  TaylorMade Sim2 2 Iron Hybrid 17°, Mitsubishi Tensai AV Raw Blue 80 stiff

Irons:  Mizuno Pro 223 4-PW, Nippon Modus3 Tour 120 stiff

GW / SW: Mizuno T-22, 52° (bent to 50°)/ 56° (bent to 54°), True Temper S400

LW:  Scratch Golf 1018 forged 58° DS, Nippon Modus3 Tour 120 stiff

Putter:  Byron Morgan Epic Day custom, Salty MidPlus cork grip

Grips:  BestGrips Augusta Microperf leather slip on

Velocore driver shaft in the 300 mini…

That is my next experiment

good idea

Definitely worth trying, I have a ventus black 6tx in my 300 mini  playing at 45” and it’s a pretty easy 290 ish. Hardest part is dialing in the head so it doesn’t launch to the moon

Curious how high at you teeing it up or hitting off the deck?

are you simply lining it up like a 3 wood?

haven’t used mine on the course yet and sparingly at the range

Personally I tee mine up just a smidgen higher than three wood, it’s got enough loft on it not to have to tee it high to hit up on it

Lower than standard driver.  I am teeing it up with about 1/2 the ball at the top of the face.  Maybe a smidge higher.  I don't hit this driver on much of an upswing like the big drivers, just a slight upswing.  The surprising thing about the 300 Mini is how penetrating the flight is.  One thing to note is that the driver will be a bit heavier in swingweight.  I have always liked a slightly heavy driver so this is perfect for me.  The most important thing is dead solid contact and the ball will fly.

I’ve played a 13.5 300 mini and I want a 11.5 pretty bad. I play shorts shafts anyhow but have a 2" tipped Ventus red  5 wood length in it that plays a lot closer to my ventus black  I’m sorta a player that fits the mini perfect. Grew up with small heads . Don’t loose speed with shorter shafts. Can hit driver easily off deck . I use it as a driver only hit it about 20 yards less than my driver but find almost every fairway with it and I can hit it off the deck higher and longer carry than a 3 wood. 300 is probably my fav club honestly. The specs I saw have the brnr at 304 cc so not smaller really but the forward weight has it on my very short list for a driver this year.

i have a 11.5* mini driver 300 set at 12.2. and a 13.5* set at 15.5. use them as a 3w and a 4w. use a longer shaft than i would for normal fairway woods. great off the deck. great off a low tee (as if they were fway woods). much longer distance than my old 3w and 4w ( nike vapor fly) ... i love a deep face ... and way more forgiving

i'm 69 years old... and these are great for getting the extra distance i want/need ... btw, use a ust proforce hl shaft - which helps get the additional height / carry  i want

biggest problem i had with the tm mini's, was hitting them as far as my old driver (also a nike vapor fly) ... but the new tm stealth 2 driver (hd) has solved that problem --- technology is wonderful for us older guys --- driving it almost as far as when i was 40

i am very interested in trying new mini driver - brnr ... looks like the face is not as deep as 300's ... but much deeper than stealth fway woods --- probably easier to get it off the deck --- hope it's as forgiving

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
