What’s going on with the putter grip on the other dinner? Obviously not legal to play like that. 
 

maybe some sort of training aid? Cant see the benefits with the wide end being parallel to your target line

I’ve got a Flatcat lying around and a spare driver shaft. I’d like to try this, but can’t really tell the install direction. It appears to be installed diagonally rather than horizontally or vertically. FWIW i read that Fitz says he uses this as a training aid to keep his right hand on top through impact to avoid the right hand working under the left

I had searched it last year after he won the US Open and because I still use a Yes putter was curious.  He had used the Tracy II Yes putter since he was 16 years old.  In early 2022?? Bettinardi made him a duplicate Tracy II as Matt had signed a sponsorship agreement with them.  Then after he won the US Open Bettinardi had a very limited release of Matt's putter.  However those putters have straight lines on the face and not the C groove pattern.  My guess is that when TaylorMade bought Adams Golf they also got all the patents from Yes putters.  I guess the patents are still active???  If Bettinardi just gave Matt his putter and didn't sell it to him then the patent is not infringed upon.  However they could not do that with the public release of Matts putter because those were for sale and therefore the straight lines on the putter.  FWIW I use the Evelyn Yes putter.  Its 100% face balanced.  Tracy II has 180 full toe hang.  Strong arc stroke needed.

Just watched playing lessons with the pros with Fitz and it’s at an orientation of 45°
