School me on Cobra LTDx vs LTDx LS

I recently added the LTDx 10.5 playing at +1.5 (12.0) with Hzrdus green 5.5, 1" short. This setup is so good for me, low to mid-90s SS average 230-260 when I really catch one. Fairly high trajectory. Just got the LTDx LS 10.5 with a weight kit (that was the selling point, lol). 

 

Playing this afternoon, and curious to hear of others' experiences with these two heads. Gonna get to course early enough to hit a small bucket before teeing off...imagine I'll use both heads during the day (have an additional shaft).

The LS version has the CoG slightly higher and more forward than the standard model. Which works best for you will be seen when you play them. I urge you to use the exact same shaft and weighting or else the comparison will be skewed. Make sure to weigh the heads with weights removed to see if they are different and use weights that make them the same when trying them out. Also, since you have the weight kit, try them slightly heavier and slightly lighter. You never know whats going to work best.

I suspect the regular model will be best at your swing speed, but you never know.

Played the LS today with Hzrdus green 10.5 at same set up, +1.5 degree. Weights: 10g left and 3g right. Hit some bombs, lower trajectory than regular LTDx head as expected, miss was a lower, slight pull that stayed in play. Good problem to have, two great options. It'll be fun to pit these against each other and may ultimately hit local golf galaxy for a trackman session to compare. One thing that's not in doubt, for me anyway. The LTDx + Hzrdus green -1 inch at 12 degrees is a heckuva combination.

Do you have a photo of the shaft in your driver? There are a couple of generations of HZRDUS Green shafts and I am wondering which it is. These drivers are intriguing.

No real comparison between the two, but I currently have the ltdx ls and it’s a bomber!  The ls is one of their best looking head designs in a long time.

do you normally play your driver shafts a bit shorter? Curious if the increased lie may have something to do with it as well if you are adding the loft with the loft sleeve to a more upright position. Could also be the reason for the left miss. I have an old cobra dirver with a nice shaft that I have been trying to resist getting the LTDX for haha

I have played and gamed both for multiple rounds. I found the LS to launch one degree-ish lower (when lofted same). Maybe 200 revs less. As a result its a few yards further. The LS isnt unforgiving by anymeans but the standard Ltdx is a fairway monster. So the standard ltdx stayed in for me, and still in to this day. Whats interesting is there is also a sound and feel difference, at least to me. I felt like the LS was firmer feeling as well as a little more “louder” or metallic.
