Bit late to all this, how does the amateur competition work?

Last 3or4 groups were all backuped to each other.

In next to last group, we were many times waiting for the fairway or green to clear to be able to hit.

 

Another issue was everytime a ruling was called, it typically took 10-20+min response time.

Although each rules official only had 3holes, they usally very spread apart not adjacent, parallel holes.

Not exactly.

They have on purpose been changing holes when they pair pros/ amateurs together, when they are apart and by how much.

The current LPGA commissoner didn't negotiate the current tv deal that the LPGA has. Mike Whan is responsible for entering into an agreement (strategic partnership) with the PGA Tour some time back for the current tv deal the LPGA has until 2030. With the LPGA being far down the pecking order of what GC televises what is she supposed to do? It's fine to be upset and voice an opinion but what are the actual items the LPGA can (legally) do with their tv contract? The real answer is very little. I mean the LPGA can't even have their leaderboard on their website update in real time. Common sense people. The LPGA at current has zero position of strength when it comes to television coverage now and until 2030. The LPGA isn't flush with cash that they can look elsewhere. Regardless of what people here and the media think/wish for.

 

How about this..... The website (Golfweek) that Beth Ann Nichols writes/shills/cheerleaders for at this time (4:30am EST) doesn't even have an article posted about the 3rd round results of this event and Rose Zhang. Yet she is critical of the LPGA? How about her employer? 

 

A refresher for those that aren't aware. From 2020 when Whan was still the LPGA commissioner.

Yep, you've posted this maybe 10 times.

 

Mike simply took the easy way out with a sub-standard deal lumping the LPGA in with the PGA.

 

Bet he got his $1m bonus for hitting his KPI.

 

He's a flim flam man, not a negotiator.

 

The current commissioner isn't of the caliber to even do as well as Whan.

 

The fish always rots from the head.

 

The reality is the coverage is just horrible.

thanks ... i saw "328 yards" on the backdrop for Hole #16 and it didn't seem like Rose could drive the green there ... did some searching & noted that #16 was playing at ~254 yards for R3.

Sigh, you just don't listen, you never do. I've offered a solution previously numerous times but you just ignore it - re-negotiate the deal, don't accept this crappy one.

 

But no matter, you can accept sub standard coverage because Whan 'done a (horrible) deal'.

 

Everything is negotiable whether there is an existing deal or not. 

 

So I'll complain ad infinitum until it's fixed no matter how many times you post your stuff crying 'well nothing can be done'.

Pot meet kettle. I listen plenty. You don't seem to comprehend. You simply say renegotiate without providing any context of what the LPGA can do even if they can as the PGA Tour negotiated their current tv deal. The LPGA is not going to be given tv preference over the PGA Tour, KFT, Champions Tour, DP Tour on GC. Or NBC/CBS. So again what is the answer? You and others have none.

 

The LPGA has zero bargaining strength/standing for a better television/streaming deal. What's so hard to understand about that? The LPGA has no money to buy out its existing deal. So again what's a real solution? Simply repeating renegotiate ad infinitum doesn't offer a solution. It's simply hearing yourself speak.
