Utility iron shaft

I'm left handed so my ability to get fit for 2 irons is pretty limited, even in a large market. 

 

Current shafts I love:

Driver - Ventus Blue 6x Velocore (~108SS)

Irons - KBS Tour 125 s+

 

I am likely to go with a Srixon 2i. I'm really looking for tight dispersion and low ball flight, mostly off tee (+ anti-hook). Seems to be a few options out there. Several stock shafts (recoil), Tour AD 85 / 95, Ventus Blue HY 8x / 9x.  I tried a T-MB 2i with a DG x100 for a bit but was too heavy. I was able to demo a Srixon 3i but in a stock stiff flex. 

 

Another option is to see if Club Champion carries any or go with a Titleist fitting and hope they carry a u505.

Given you like KBS tour I would start with the KBS TGI line for a graphite replacement.

Steelfiber i110 cw or i125cw....I play modus 130 shafts in stiff 4-pw, so they're a 123 gram shaft, and I use the i110cw steelfiber in stiff for my utility iron and it's a solid shaft.

KBS hybrid proto which is mid/mid and would be the logical choice and seamless transition since you play the KBS Tour.  Ventus Black HB if you want something that launches a touch lower and spins less.

KBS proto hybrid vote as well. Would recommend a 95 gram as the 105 is a beast.

Recoil 110 in my Fli Hi. Probably close to 8-9 years now with no changes.  The F5 would be comfortable with your swing speed and current setup.

Ended up going this direction (110cw x-stiff) since it was only a $35 upcharge. I really like the shaft after the first range session. I can hit a very neutral to slight fade as a stock shot. Off the tee I can get it plenty low while off the ground I'm getting it in the air easily. It did get a little low and hooky if I really went after it, but not too bad. Thanks for the recommendation, looking forward to getting it out on the course.

Just for my understanding, the hosel bore of the Srixon is tapered .355 size? 
i plan to reshaft my ZX Utility as well… 

 

so for a hybrid shaft you need to grind down the tip, or widen up the hosel.

I would have thought it was too stout for my swing speed but the Ventus HB-10TX in my U505 2 iron is money.  My swing speed is 108-110mph with a driver with an aggressive transition.  I can usually set up for a slight draw with this shaft and very rarely miss left which I like.  It launches low and with low spin.

I have the 9TX in my hybrid and it's the only shaft that's stout and stable enough for my swing and believe me, I've tested most HB shafts over the years.  SS is 118 with driver for reference.

TZ5 or TZ6 might be solid options too if the steelfiber doesn’t work out….both very stable.

I’ve been dying to try the new tz5 95/105 in a driving iron. But I ended up with a project x HC1 and I absolutely love that shaft in my driving iron. If you wanted to go a flex down the hb6 I’d also a great shaft. But if you wanted to go the cheap route with the shaft this is a great option. But given your shaft choices I don’t think that’s your top priority.

any other recs? im thinking ventus black hb 9X / 9TX after this thread but would appreciate anyone's experience comparing with ventus blue hb or kbs proto
