Ping Blueprint Forged S

Does anyone know if Ping is expanding their Modus options? Right now it looks like they only offer the 105.

Ever so slightly smaller than the T150's. If you strike the face 95% of the time, you'll be fine as I couldn't tell the difference size-wise while hitting in the sim. Blueprints felt to me to be more forgiving, but again the difference is in the consistency of the distance which nearly freaked me out. I hit 186 with the 7 iron 5 out of 6 strikes.

Got the fitting heads in at our club. Our pro said the Ping rep told him the S has the same MOI number as the 230 just in a forged package. Not sure what voodoo Ping put in these but they are winning over a lot of people. We put together the demo heads for a scratch golfer that has a full Titleist bag and a KFT player with Mizuno. Both now have a set on the way. I watched the KFT player hit the demo 7 iron head during our round. Hit hit about 8 practice Titleist off a tee while we were waiting on the group ahead. The front to back dispersion was +/- 3 yards for a 180 yard shot into a wind with temps around 50. He's never played Ping. Said its the first Ping iron that gets in/out of the turf like he wants. Loves the feel and said he knows exactly what he gets when he hits it. He's got 3 sets of MP18s split cavities because he can't find anything else that works for him like those. ...until now.

These sound too good to be true. May be the first time I buy clubs sight unseen.

Sounds promising, especially given the size and forgiveness.

That's an interesting comment... lofts and the internal design is all different, but the distance is close to a stronger lofted iron.

 

Like everyone else said, guess we'll all need to wait and see when the embargo lifts!

What are they like forgiveness wise VS the P7MC?

Looks like the T is 1/4" shorter than the S.  Wonder why they would have different lengths if they are built to blend easily?

Okay so they are saying you can blend all 3. I like that, I have no business hitting the T even in a PW but we will see.

Are Oban’s worth the $50 upcharge? I was fit into the 125 S using the Jeff Mont fitting, but I’ve never tried an Oban shaft.

Ping's website list the Alta CB and Recoil Dart as stock graphite options.
