Launch Pro vs FS Kit

Recommended Posts

Ok...So just bought a house and I'm looking at getting either the Launch Pro or FS Kit to use in the backyard but I can't decide.  I like that the BLP requires less space and seems extremely accurate but I'm not a crazy fan of the subscription model and some of the bugginess that I have been reading about.  However, it seems like you can get one for a grand or two cheaper than the FSK.  However, I like that the FSK follows the actual ball flight and their support team seems to be really listening to ppl and upgrading the software regularly, also it's a more portable unit and I think the software for my purpose looks better. My concern with the FSK is partially the space needed but more so the accuracy as I have seen some reviews that it's not very accurate even on the driving range.  That confuses me though because if tour guys are using the FSK it would have to be pretty darn accurate.

My primary use would be between the home and range.  I'm not looking to really play any virtual golf, I'm mostly concerned with tracking AoA, path, launch, spin for game improvement.

Any help would be appreciated....I have been going back and forth for the last 2 weeks.

I am one of the 4 from GolfWRX to test the KIT. All us WRXers found KIT to be as accurate as the bigger GC Quad and Trackman4 as part of our experience.

However, we did not have the GC3, hence, I have (on loan) a GC3 that I was able to compare head to head with KIT.

I would suggest you take a read of the GolfWRX/KIT experience here - it can probably answer a lot of your questions/compares etc. My post is #3 for the GC3 vs KIT.

Based on my own research, there were some inaccuracies with the early software and has been correct with the 1.20 (12) which is the latest. I think it was corrected even before then. As a note, every single LM goes through this improvement in accuracy, KIT is no exception but as you said, the Customer response is stellar

They are also reachable here @FullSwingSimulators

Hope this helps

I tested the FSK along with @SwingBlues and I scrutinized the numbers of the KIT alongside a Trackman and GC4. As mentioned, the numbers were basically equivalent (yardage within 1-2 yards and spin within 200) across all 3 units.

I think the main question is whether this will be primarily used outdoors or indoors. I believe the GC3 may work better indoors because you only need to capture impact. The downside is that you don’t get ball flight as you said. The FSK and Trackman are more similar in my opinion and better for outdoor measurement. The main differences for me between FSK and Trackman are that FSK is more portable and consumer-friendly with the app design. Trackman is better in presenting full sets of data to analyze your swing, such as what a fitter would need. I hope Full Swing brings data tables to the app, but it works great for my primary use to track distances, spin, and swing metrics (I.e. club path/AoA).
