Accra fx or ahould we say Autoflex

I hit about 10 balls today into the trees behind the house, so no real ideal on distance yet. I would agree with most others about this thing. It feels like a wet noodle when you waggle it. When you hold it out straight it almost feels like the head is drooping. But when you actually swing it, it doesn’t feel bad at all. Crazy actually. Ball fight looked good. It got up quick but didn’t seem like it was spinning excessively and just seemed like it wanted to go straight. Can’t wait to get out on the course and really test it.

Well I ordered a 140 M0, just like in the TXG video. Older guy, lower index, 95 ish chs. Current driver is a LAGP 50S tour axs white. So pretty much a different shaft.

 

Not generally prone to these type of shenanigans. Will see how it goes.

Update. Just came in, although tired from work had to hit the range and try it.

 

Crappy pinnacle range balls. Have a little prgr unit, 5+ gain in chs, 10-13 in carry til I got tired. Tired crappy swings don't work with this shaft either. But indifferent swings with this shaft went as well as good strikes with the tour axs. Used same head throughout. 

 

Ball flight/launch is high, pretty flat. Doesn't feel spinny. Waggle is flexy but in normal swing feels really stable. 

 

Can't wait to get it on the course. If I pick up 10 yards of carry and 15 yards total, I'll be thrilled.

If you order the same as the TXG video it is an FX 3.0 140 m0.  I believe the OP is using a stiff.  I think the majority in here have ordered the 140 m0.  As far as fitting to your swing speed that is still a big unknown.

Update today. Got it on the course, hit it on 10 holes. Five good swings put me 20 yards past my longest previously. Prob 10 yards of that was carry.

 

The other 5 I kind of jumped at, not good contact, but still about where I was on good contact with my previous shaft.

 

I'm a believer. Just have to keep from getting too excited and jumping at it. You don't have to muscle this shaft.

Im at similar speed and playing the m0 140.

I was on the fence for the first few rounds but not anymore. Dispersion similar to my Ventus TR Blue.

Accra setup is longer with less effort, i would also say misses are turning less. More straight pushes and pulls than draws and fades if that makes sense.

The only adjustment i have made is forcing myself to be more patient in transition.

Sounds like a similar adjustment when gaming an Autoflex. Thes lighter weight more flexible shafts produce great numbers and I think the feel over a stiff driver shaft is way better = more fun. I bomb my Autoflex…most fun I’ve had hitting driver ever.

Yes. 45.25 ish playing length. Same head as with prev shaft, sim max d 195 gr.

Extra inch for me, 45.25 vs 44.25. it doesn't feel light with the extra length added.

I hit mine pretty well on the range. Pretty impressed with range balls and into the wind. It looks promising.

Mine is arriving today, planning on putting it in an 11.5 BRNR head. Currently playing that club at 44" - not sure it makes any sense to play it any longer with the Accra.

Wow literally just thinking of this idea today. Please share your thoughts when it arrives! 
 

Personally I think 44” would be perfect. Is that what you were going to do?

I got a chance to hit the range.. M1 140.  I’ve owned Autoflex twice, Vanquish, Brava, etc… 

 

this shaft, if I just think slow, is straight BOMBS over and over and over.  I have it on an M5 Tour 8* playing at 6.  It’s automatic.  Range can be easy, but never like this.. around 5y of curve on the ones which moved, mostly just straight lasers.  Not spinning up.  The other reviewer wasn’t kidding..  so strangely straight!
 

i just have one thought, swing slow, slow take away and swing.  I am normally aggressive on both.  If I am aggressive it’s terrible, just like Autoflex. Feels bad and high right fade.  Feels like a real club tho, so I like it better.  And works better than the Brava.  The vanquish is like AF, whippy.  The Accra isn’t a whip.

Right now 108-113.  Just out for elbow injury for 8 weeks, this is my first week back.  Normal is 115-118 on course.  

If I just think slow tempo, take my time, its bombs away and straight lasers.  M5 tour 6* too, not the most forgiving head.

I am not sure on swing weight.  Just have the M5 Tour head in there now.  
 

I bought a Srixon ZX LS 8.5* head to play around with and a Big Bertha 9* and Tour cog. 

 

Will report back..

I have the 11.5 BRNR and was considering this shaft as well. The BRNR head weighs more than a typical driver head which has be a bit concerned. Have you had a chance to play the Accra shaft with the BRNR yet?

On the course was good and bad. Topped my first drive without warm up, then hi the next one good. Next two drivers were good. Then I started spraying it everywhere, couldn't hot a fairway.

Slow and smooth.  The ball jumps off the face and flies forever.  I’ve played about 2 1/2 rounds with it and there’s definitely something to it!

If I get to quick, it's high and right or a duck hook left. Will have to really work on my timing. Or maybe it's a winter shaft when I have so many layers on I can't swing fast.
