Eh, I tried them back to back a few days ago for about 100 shots, I expected a larger difference.

I’m a slow swing speed guy, and I find it annoying to experiment on golf balls. 
 

but as I’ve tested balls over the past few years, these are my conclusions 

 

ProV1 - good ball, but performanc doesn’t matter. It’s too expensive 

 

Chrome soft - my current favorite. Nice high flight and long

 

Srixon zstar - a little shorter than the chrome soft, but ok

 

Snell - significantly shorter than other premium balls

 

the Soft Balls (Wilson duo, callaway Supersoft, Srixon soft feel) - all perform similarly. They’re short and they don’t fly high.

Interesting you say the pro v1 is too expensive, the chrome soft is £48 a dozen online in the UK and the pro v1 is the same. The Taylormade is a good £8 cheaper so that’s nearly £1 a yard in distance….

Where I live, the ProV1 is $60 USD, while the Chromesoft is $49.   Right now, Chromesoft is on sale @ $45

are you talking old Snells, like the MTB-X? or the new Primes? I'm a high speed swinger, around 115-120mph, and the Snell MTB-X is as long as any ball I've tried, and probably the best ball in windy conditions.
