I read this article as I need to try to hook putts. Would you agree?

That’s likely the feel

All "tips" are welcome. Instruction not desired.

@kobe123 - not a bad stroke.

I can't see it in the video but if your shifting weight and moving lower body that needs to get cleaned up.

Little more forward shaft lean at address.

Learn to putt where your head is not moving / tilting away from the target on the follow through.  This is the big one. Keep the head quiet all the way till your done with the stroke.

DTL would be helpful.  You might be able to stand closer to the ball.

Swing the putter in an arc like a pendulum not a low straight back and through line. Pendulums are reliable, repeatable and accurate.

Lots of ways power the putting stroke, using my right hand and arm and letting my body react works for me. It's like tossing a ball underhanded to a kid.

So why do players screw up shorter putts? They push or pull due to too much horizontal action. With the LAB as shown in this vid; the beauty of the tech is that the face acts neutral to path. Unfortunately, the head motion does not meet its optimum.  A good stroke has awareness of force and direction. If there is belief or trust in mimicking a pendulum; the vertical and horizontal forces resemble the shape of a cycloid. (If you believe that gravity plays a minor role in a swing; this advice is not for you).

In the video recently posted by @kobe123 it's easy to see he's unsure how to get the motion started.

This explains it better than i can. Just like in a full swing the putter head releases through the ball as the right wrist unhinges.

Correct, I get stuck on taking it back.

I've had a similar issue with certain types of putters, especially large mallets like the Craz-E or the early Bettinardis with the big heads. It felt like the trailing edge was dragging on the way back. It seems to be worse with double-bend and center-shafted putters.

A putter fitting helped me realize I need a slightly flatter lie angle than the usual stock and a slant neck. Being in the right putter for me has helped a lot.

@kobe123 Again you have a good stroke.  Minor adjustments needed.  Setup needs be addressed first to see if it fixes the issues.

This is the effect.  This is going to cause a lot of inconsistency.  Your head is moving away from target.  This movement is a compensation and adds timing to square everything up.

This is where you need to start.  Your setup is causing you to lean on your toes too much, because of how bent over you are.  You need to get the posture more up and really feel balanced in your feet between your heels and the balls of your feet.  You should not be feeling pressure past the balls of your feet towards the toes.  To start, you might feel like your really in your heels.  But just feel that pressure in both the heels and balls for your feet.  Standing more straight up is naturally going to correct this a bit.  Standing more straight up is also going to get little less elbow bend.  Your eyes are directly over the ball which is OK.  However, once you correct your posture, your eye line might be slightly inside the ball, which I think is more preferable, but directly over the ball is OK too.

Bottom line get better posture.  Get ride of that massive hunch.  Lift your head up more and feel like your standing more up like a normal golf shot.  This alone is going to give you better balance and allow you stroke the ball without your head moving.
