Hoping Alison Lee wins this now though, her play over the last month has been nothing short of sublime...think it could be a nervy one with none of last group proven winners of the big ones.🤔

So Amy Yang and Nasa Hataoka had the best round 3 in the top 10.... 65 and 64. They both seem to be going well, though both have been a bit unstable on the final round in the past. 

 

But who has the killer instinct to catch them? It would be a pretty amazing achievement for Alison Lee. Does she have the toughness? 

 

Janet hasn't nailed down a victory yet..... still looking like a long shot unless she gets a freak hole in one. 

Ruoning Yin has been missing putts and looks a little off the pace.

 

Minjee Lee is the dark horse - she can win but she's 5 back.

 

Hope the finish is exciting!

It's golf, any thing can happen in a few holes. 3 to 4 strokes with 12 to go is not much room for error.

I'm very happy to eat my words! I'm amazed that Amy pulled this off. I've always been a huge fan. 

 

34 years old and the best win of her career. Fantastic. What an achievement.

Excellent! Excellent! Champagne Victory Shower. Minus a half point for it not taking place after the post round handshakes and hugs. But a large number of participants and a large volume of champagne. Excellent. The waterboarding of the Rocket's sister is still the gold standard.

Heck of a round by Amy. I guess I have to eat my hat, as I didn't think she had another 66 in her. Steady play all day, and that up and down for birdie on the 17th was sweet. Minus one point for taking the drama out of it with a birdie on the last. Lol. The player with the Mrs. Butterworth swing finally got it done on US soil. Bet the Seoul Sisters forum is going nuts, as a Korean player has won this four out of the past five years, and in a birdiefest no less. 

 

Alison is going to look back at yesterday's round and cringe. I bet she wishes the new season started next week. What a stretch of golf from the veteran. Definitely wins the comeback player of the year award. Major props. 

 

Stunning how Nasa's putter cooled after being red hot. Always in the hunt in the important events, but just can't quite close them. Ouch. 

 

Great charge by Lilia, and congrats on the PotY. What a year. 

 

Atthaya is a machine. No wins this year, but top 10s galore and the Vare. Well deserved. 

 

Another week, and another close one for Janet. D.J.

 

Thought Minjee was going to get hot, but only 13 GIRs was surprising.

It's hard to believe Amy doesn't have 20 wins and multiple majors with a swing like that. Congrats to her and you can see how much she's liked and respected by her peers. Would be great if she can take this and have a great 2024 and beyond.

5 top 10's this year, 4 last year. The last month was impressive, the rest of 2023 was no different than 2022 really.

Lilia Vu, the final round queen, shot low round of the day to climb to solo 4th.  Three of her four wins this year, she came from behind in the final round.  The other time, she tied for the lead after 54 holes.

 

She is a great putter and she's sneakily long; the shot she hit from 228 yards out to the green on #17 was a thing of beauty.  Of all the current players, she might be the one who is capable of taking the mantle from Jin Young Ko and runs for the next 3-4 year.
